Donna Jean Hyames (nee Gray), age 90 of Westfield, found eternal peace on Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1935 in Endeavor, daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Scholes) Gray. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1953. After a year in Chicago, Donna came back to Wisconsin to marry Dale E. Hyames on July 3, 1954 at the Elmer Scholes farm in Endeavor. Dale preceded her in death on January 14, 2014. Together Dale and Donna shared 59 years of marriage and were blessed with four children. She worked at Brakebush Brothers from 1969 to 2000 retiring after 31 years. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with Dale, eating out with family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and of course a good Old Fashion. She also enjoyed feeding the birds, yelling at the squirrels and tending to her many flowers.
Donna is survived by her four children, Lori (Jim) Ebert, Montello, Steven (Diane), Madison, Jill (Ron) Gardner, Cudahy and David, Westfield; seven grandchildren, Amy Haggerty, Michael (Michelle) Ebert, Haley (Dylan) Tutton, Hannah and Jordan Hyames, Bryan and Kayla Gardner; four great grandchildren, Violet, Erik, Joanna and Tate; sister, Beverly (Larry) Deuel; brother, Arthur (Dusty) Gray; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Gray; husband, Dale; brother, David Gray and sister, Susan Gray.
A funeral service for Donna will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
