Just want to take a moment and shoutout the heath care workers of Westfield! Specifically those at Wellbrooke of Westfield.

Healthcare doesn’t stop when it snows. Residents and families are still relying on those essential workers to clock in. Those residents still need fed, scheduled medications, support with activities of daily living. The harsh conditions unfortunately can’t be an excuse to not show up for this line of work.

We had six team members spend the night in the therapy gym or open rooms, two stay at a local hotel, and others battle terrible road conditions—some driving up to two hours—to get there. Many of them came in when they weren’t scheduled, filled gaps from call-ins, picked up stranded coworkers, and stepped into roles that weren’t their own. They demonstrated positive attitudes, flexibility, and genuine care. They didn’t complain—they rallied. They didn’t hesitate—they helped. They put residents first.

So proud of the Wellbrooke of Westfield family. 💚 We hope everyone is staying safe and warm!
