5 births in 4 days! I am wiped out but so full of gratitude, and ridiculously honored to be invited to witness the power of so many amazing humans🩷The shift from home birth to birth center is not the easiest one-this work weighs heavy on my mind and heart, I do not take the trust people put in me lightly-to go from 2-4 clients a month to over a dozen has been a wild ride, but I am LOVING being busy with my hearts work🩷🩷🩷

I’ll (finally) be having my website revamped very soon and I would love to share experiences of those who have worked with me! I am specifically looking for:

1) photos from births or prenatal/postpartum visits (I have so few!)

2) Birth stories

3) I’d love to include brief answers to the question: What did it feel like to work with me as your midwife?

Feel free to reply below or send me a message! TIA🩷

My first MA midwifery birth in the books🎉 I have been feeling the lack of community but leave it to the home birth community to freaking *show up* and remind me that it’s really just a text away❤️ Within 36 hours of birth we had 3 different midwives and another home birther in the next state provide gallons of breastmilk and get it to their home, and an IBCLC on the team to help this family have a successful transition to parenthood. My cup is so full, I am overflowing with gratitude that I get to be invited to witness these fierce and holy moments❤️❤️❤️

Breastmilk is rad.
When we kiss our babes hands
or we smell their sweet little heads,
we sample their microorganisms.
Then,
as if it were magic,
(but it’s not, because it’s science)
“the mothers immune system begins to produce exactly what the babe needs to fight off any bad microbes and encourage the growth of new.”
EXACTLY what our babe needs,
in those moments,
IN OUR BREASTMILK!!
All of this to keep babe healthy and strong.
Maybe we are magic.
Maybe we should assume and live our lives as such.

Finally a home-birth community midwife supported IUI option in the Madison area❤️❤️❤️

Hi all! Connie here! Just wanted to update folks that might not know: I’m now offering Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) at home or in my home office in Monona. It starts with a preconception meeting where we discuss what you’ve been doing in your fertility journey so far (if anything!), and then we make an individualized plan together.

Even from the earliest days of my midwifery path (even before I knew I wanted to be a midwife, honestly), I dreamed of offering this conception option for people in my community.
Feel free to head to my website or send me a message for more information! https://www.paxandlux.net/iui
I'm happy to chat!

Also, can we talk about this sunshine today?! ☀️

Our freezers are looking a bit bare! We are down to only a few hundred ounces of milk.

Do you have extra breastmilk in your freezer you've been thinking about donating? Now is a great time! You have the opportunity to help babies in our community who are in need of milk.

We accept milk from donors with infants up to 24 months of age. Fresh refrigerated milk and frozen milk are both accepted. There is no minimum amount required to donate. We will help walk you through the process and answer any questions you might have.

Don't have milk to donate? Share this post with others that might.

Contact us or visit our website to learn more about donating.
