🧡 Grateful Moments: Family Activities That Build Connection 🧡
As we head into Thanksgiving week, it’s the perfect time to slow down and enjoy meaningful moments with the ones we love. At Key Connections ABA Services, we believe that connection is the heart of progress and family time is a powerful way to support your child’s growth.
Here are a few autism-friendly activities to try this week:
🧩 Gratitude Jar – Each day, write down something you're thankful for and read them together on Thanksgiving.
🎨 Sensory Crafts – Try leaf rubbings, pumpkin painting, or making a “thankful tree” with paper leaves.
🧘 Mindful Moments – Practice deep breathing or gentle yoga together to stay calm and connected.
📚 Story Time – Read books about gratitude, family, or fall traditions.
🍂 Nature Walks – Explore a quiet trail and collect fall treasures like acorns and colorful leaves.
🧺 Family Picnic Indoors – Set up a cozy blanket, share snacks, and enjoy each other’s company.
November is a time for gratitude, and at Key Connections ABA Services, we’re thankful for the incredible families, caregivers, and children who make our community so special!
