The 130th Boston Marathon was run yesterday under cool skies. 30,000 runners participated in the event! The medical tent was staffed by a team of podiatrists led by MFAS member Dr. Jonathan Kaplan. The team included podiatrists Drs. Scott M. Aronson, Carl Conui, David Coker, Samuel Gorelik, Paul Heffernnan, Dorothy Kurtz Phelan, Lori Lundberg, Paula Marella, Michelle Morse, Kirk Neustrom, John Pizzuto, Benjamin Saviet and Neal Zomback. Students from NYCPM, TUSPM, and residents from local hospitals also participated in treating the runners. Pictured are students from NYCPM with Dr. Kaplan.

Our day so far! Meeting with our federal delegation to talk about prior authorization reform, physician fee fix, and diabetes foot health modernization. We are advocating for podiatric physicians in Mass and around the country!
