Feeling a bulge or heaviness "down there"?
You’re not alone — and you don’t have to live with it!
These symptoms can be a sign of pelvic organ prolapse. A prolapse is when the uterus, bladder, or re**um sits lower in the va**na than normal. This can occur after childbirth, with chronic constipation, repetitive straining, and lifting incorrectly. Whatever the cause, prolapse can often be managed with pelvic floor therapy and even more successful than surgery.

Diastasis recti occurs when the abdominal muscles separate along the midline, often due to pregnancy, weight changes, or weak core muscles. This can lead to symptoms like:
🔹 A visible abdominal bulge or "doming"
🔹 Core weakness & poor posture
🔹 Back pain & pelvic instability

👩‍⚕️ How is it diagnosed? A gap of more than 2 finger-widths between your abdominal muscles is generally considered DRA.

💪 How Can Physical Therapy Help?
Pelvic floor PT strengthens deep core muscles, improves posture, and helps close the gap—reducing pain and restoring function!

If you're experiencing these symptoms, reach out to a pelvic floor specialist for guidance. You don’t have to live with it!
