An internal assessment helps us learn what’s working and what’s not working so great in your pelvic floor. This is where we can tell if your muscles are weak, tight, or painful. Although it can be extremely helpful, we would never force you to have an internal exam. The internal exam is just 1 piece of the puzzle.

Feeling a bulge or heaviness "down there"?
You’re not alone — and you don’t have to live with it!
These symptoms can be a sign of pelvic organ prolapse. A prolapse is when the uterus, bladder, or re**um sits lower in the va**na than normal. This can occur after childbirth, with chronic constipation, repetitive straining, and lifting incorrectly. Whatever the cause, prolapse can often be managed with pelvic floor therapy and even more successful than surgery.
