Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment Services A client in need of addiction treatment can enter our comprehensive system at any level of appropriate services.

Seafield believes that alcoholism and substance abuse are primary, chronic diseases with genetic, psychosocial and environmental factors. Treatment programs need to provide services that restore dignity to clients, support a return to healthier, more productive lifestyles, and provide programs to prevent relapse and assist families as well as the client. Seafield treatment programs include inpatie

nt rehabilitation, detox, day treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, group and individual sessions, a structured family program and recovery housing for adult men and women. Seafield is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Today Seafield consists of three corporations:

Seafield Center, Inc. operates a ninety (100) bed inpatient treatment facility located in Westhampton Beach, New York. Seafield Services, Inc. operates 6 licensed outpatient treatment programs located in Amityville, Mineola, Medford, Patchogue, Riverhead and Manhasset. Let's all give a big congrats to Douglas Hellberg as Seafield’s Associate of the Month! He's been with us at Seafield for eight months, splitting his time between Transportation and House Management. What he loves most about his job is helping and connecting with people who've had similar experiences. Douglas describes himself as “music and love,” a reflection of his passion for creativity and authenticity. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his kids and family, playing the guitar, writing songs, and continuing to learn and grow in his recovery.

Meet Wendy Ruskowski, Seafield’s Associate of the Month!!! For over 10 years, Wendy has been a constant source of care and pride within Seafield’s Housekeeping team. She finds meaning in the work she does each day, knowing that even the smallest efforts can help someone on their path to a better life. Her attention to detail and kind presence leave a lasting impression on everyone she encounters. When she’s not at Seafield, Wendy enjoys baking, playing the piano, and spending quality time with her three adult sons. And here’s a fun bit of trivia, she was a State Finalist for Miss Teenager New York in 1980 and was featured in both Outstanding Young Americans and Who’s Who. Wendy, your kindness and dedication are deeply appreciated. We’re so proud to celebrate you this month!
