Monthly Gathering for Children and Teens Navigating Loss

Our monthly support group helps children and teens navigate grief in a healthy and supportive environment. Spaces are still available for our next meeting: Wednesday, February 25

Groups are led by experienced bereavement professionals, who offer compassionate support, practical coping tools, and reassurance that participants are not alone.

The group is free of and meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 5:15 to 6:15 PM at the Zinberg Family Bereavement Center in Westhampton Beach.

East End Hospice provides a range of educational support services to the eastern Long Island community. We partner with healthcare professionals, specialists, hospitals, nursing homes, and community organizations to raise awareness of hospice's vital role in improving quality of life for people facing serious illness.

With their generous support, East End Hospice can continue to provide peaceful, patient-centered care at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care, despite reductions to Medicare funding.

Special Delivery

Playgroup (ages 3 and 4) in Locust Valley created Valentine’s Day messages for the staff and patients at East End Hospice’s Kanas Center for Hospice Care. With colorful art and gentle words, the children created cards that brightened the day for all who received them.

🚨➡️🤍 A First in New York State

Suffolk County Community College paramedic students are now training at East End Hospice’s Kanas Center for Hospice Care as part of New York State’s first-ever hospice clinical rotation for EMS students—gaining vital skills in end-of-life care, patient advocacy, and family support.

This groundbreaking experience provides future paramedics with hands-on training in end-of-life care, hospice philosophy, symptom management, and understanding MOLST, DNRs, and other directives, preparing them for real-world situations they will encounter.
