Strategic Botox along the platysma and DAO relaxes the downward pull on the jawline and lower face, allowing the cheek muscles that lift the face to dominate.

Result: a sharper jawline, softer neck bands, and a subtle lower face lift.

Have you upgraded your Botox?

Neck skin is thinner, more delicate, more prone to early aging, and constantly in motion. It is also less responsive to treatment than the face.

Start with the fundamentals:

• Improve head and neck posture

• Sleep on your back

• Bring your skincare down to your neck

• Daily sunscreen

• Topical retinoid

• Silicone patches for static lines

• Topical estrogen therapy when appropriate

• Red light therapy to support collagen stimulation

Treatment depends on degree of laxity…

Mild skin laxity:
Collagen induction therapies such as microneedling, laser resurfacing, radiofrequency, or HIFU can help stimulate collagen and improve texture.

Mild to moderate laxity:
Add a biostimulatory approach to support dermal remodeling.

Moderate to severe laxity:
Surgical intervention may be the most effective option.

Whether you choose surgery or not, maintaining skin quality is essential. Healthy dermis is the foundation of long-term results.

Don’t flush your money down the toilet.
If you’re healthy and able to drink fluids, your kidneys will do what they’re designed to do. Almost all of that IV bag, fluids, electrolytes, and added vitamins, will be excreted from your body.

If you’re on a GLP-1 like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro, read this.
The term “Ozempic face” isn’t about the medication itself, it’s about rapid weight loss. The face has fat pads that act like cushions under the skin, and when weight drops quickly those cushions shrink. If volume loss outpaces collagen production, the overlying skin can start to look loose, lax, and more crepey. Fibroblasts are the cells responsible for making collagen, and they simply cannot always keep up with rapid fat loss.

If you’re on a GLP-1, think proactively. Stimulate collagen while the weight is changing. Energy-based treatments such as microneedling, radiofrequency, or laser resurfacing can help support collagen production. There is controversy around RF and fat reduction, and settings matter. When used appropriately, the goal is collagen stimulation, not unnecessary volume loss.

Injectables can also play an important role. Hyaluronic acid fillers replace lost volume, calcium hydroxylapatite such as Radiesse can both volumize and stimulate collagen, and poly-L-lactic acid such as Sculptra works gradually to build collagen over time.

The key is not chasing correction after significant volume loss. Stay ahead of the collagen game.
