I now run a private practice in Westlake Village, CA where I work with teens, adults, and new and expecting parents. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety (pregnancy and postpartum), relationship issues, parenting, and various life transitions. I work from a strengths-based perspective and in collaboration with my clients to assist them in reaching their goals. I am bilingual/bicultural and can provide individual and family therapy in English and Spanish. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

If you’re a therapist heading into Thanksgiving, please know this:
You are allowed to eat your meal in peace without being the family mediator, the conflict diffuser, or the emotional-support-human for every relative who “just has one quick question.”

You’re not being difficult.
You’re protecting your nervous system.
And you deserve to enjoy your holiday without slipping into unpaid emotional labor.

If this is your yearly pattern, here’s your gentle reminder to set boundaries early and often:
✨ “I’m off today.”
✨ “Let’s save that for another time.”
✨ “I love you, but I’m not working right now.”

Because even therapists deserve rest… especially on holidays where half the table is one comment away from needing a full family session.

Tell me, what’s the most therapist-y thing your family has asked you during the holidays? 👇💀

And that gap is where so many brilliant, compassionate clinicians get stuck.

You were taught how to diagnose, how to write notes, how to sit with someone’s deepest pain…but no one taught you how to market yourself, build a brand, create systems, manage money, or run a business that actually sustains your life.

You weren’t trained to think like an entrepreneur yet suddenly you’re expected to know how to build a website, choose software, track income, decide your fees, file taxes, plan content, and create boundaries around your time.

So if you feel overwhelmed, behind, or “not business-minded”…
you’re not wrong.
You’re just untrained and training is absolutely available.

The truth is:
Private practice isn’t just clinical work.
It’s clarity, systems, structure, consistency, and strategy.
And once you learn the foundations, everything shifts, your confidence, your income, your freedom, and your ability to serve from abundance instead of burnout.

You’re not bad at business.
You just haven’t been taught business… yet.

I help therapists bridge that gap every single day and you don’t have to do it alone 🤍 Alex

Fear is sneaky—it rarely says, “Don’t do it.”
Instead, it whispers:
👉 “Maybe I should wait until I get one more certification.”
👉 “Maybe I need a few more clients first.”
👉 “Maybe I’m not ready to raise my rates yet.”

But here’s the truth: those “logical” thoughts are often fear in disguise.
The need for more validation, more proof, more experience—it’s a way to stay safe, not necessarily a way to grow.

If this hit a little too close to home, it might be time to take the leap before you feel ready.
Because confidence doesn’t come before action—it comes from action.

💬 What’s one thing you’ve been “logically” delaying that’s really fear in disguise?

⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. That charging less would somehow make clients value me more.
2. That saying “yes” to every client request (time, rate, cancellations) was the only way to build a practice.
3. That working harder = being a “better” therapist.
4. That I had to market myself in a “professional” way instead of showing up as a real human.
5. That I couldn’t have both flexibility and financial security.

The truth? Building a private practice is about working smarter, not smaller. It’s about trusting your value, protecting your time, and creating a business that supports your life not drains it.

✨ To all the therapists still holding onto these myths, you don’t have to.

You don’t need to burn yourself out seeing 25+ clients a week to have a thriving practice.

What you do need is:
✔️ Clarity on your niche so you’re attracting the right-fit clients
✔️ Confidence to charge your full fee without apology
✔️ Systems that make your practice sustainable (so you can be present in your life outside of therapy)

A thriving practice isn’t about numbers, it’s about alignment. The right clients at your full fee create the balance, income, and freedom you’re actually looking for.

💡 Imagine what would be possible if your caseload worked for your life instead of against it.
