The U.S. is introducing a monovalent JN.1-based vaccine (LP.8.1 strain) to better match today’s circulating viruses (FDA guidance).

📅 Timing matters. Updated vaccines will be available early fall 2025 — and yes, you can receive them at the same appointment as your flu shot and RSV vaccine (if eligible).

FIGO statement on Paracetamol (acetaminophen) use during pregnancy and autism risk: evidence does not support causal association

While some observational studies have suggested associations, these findings have fundamental methodological limitations, including recall bias, inadequate exposure characterisation, heterogeneous outcome assessment and insufficient control for confounding factors. Obstetric practice should be based on evidence-based medicine and careful evaluation of research methodology. Recent statements questioning paracetamol safety go against established scientific findings and may harm maternal and foetal health by discouraging use of this medication.
