✨ When Will I Look Presentable After a Facelift? ✨

Jennifer is a great example of why facelift recovery happens in phases, not all at once. She had an endoscopic deep plane facelift, deep neck lift, deep neck contouring, facial fat transfer, and rhinoplasty, her healing was going to be a process of gradual changes rather than one sudden transformation.

🗓 Week 1: You’re swollen and bruised, but you expected it — this is pure healing mode. Rest and stay patient.

🗓 Week 2: Swelling begins to come down, but you may notice unevenness. That’s normal as each side heals at a different pace.

🗓 Week 3: This is often when patients start to feel discouraged. Visible improvement slows down, but deeper tissues are still healing.

🗓 Week 4: You start to recognize yourself again. Most patients feel comfortable seeing close friends or going out for a quiet dinner.

🗓 Weeks 5–6: The swelling continues to fade, your expressions start to look natural again, and you begin to see yourself more - the “refreshed you.”

While you’ll look better and feel more confident usually by 6 to 8 weeks, full recovery takes up to one year for every layer to completely settle.

If you had a combination of procedures, expect your healing to take more time because those can add additional swelling and recovery time.

If you’ve ever had fillers (even after dissolving), certain skin tightening or nonsurgical treatments, these could also contribute to more swelling and prolong your healing.

Recovery takes time. There is no magic wand. It’s about letting your body do what it does best to heal. More importantly, give yourself time. Each phase reveals more of your final, natural result.

Let me know what questions you have about recovery.

✨ Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift - Where Does the Skin Go? ✨

One of the most common questions I hear is: “If you’re not cutting skin, where does the extra skin go?” It’s a great question - and the answer comes down to how the lift is done and who is a good candidate. In an endoscopic facelift, I’m still performing a deep plane facelift. The lift happens in the deeper layers of the face, not by pulling on the skin itself. Because the deeper structures are lifted back to where they used to be, the skin is carried along naturally. In the right patient, little to no skin needs to be removed - and the skin has the ability to recoil and redistribute smoothly on its own.

🧠 This fully Endoscopic Deep Plance Facelift approach works best in patients with good skin quality and elasticity, and who do not have a lot of laxity. When skin has strong “bounce back,” it can adapt to the lift without needing large skin excisions. Even in traditional open deep plane facelifts, the amount of skin removed is often just a few millimeters - far less than most people expect. That’s why candidacy matters. An endoscopic facelift isn’t about skipping steps — it’s about using the right technique for the right anatomy to achieve a natural, balanced result.

✨ Why I Don’t Let Patients Fly Right After a Facelift ✨

There’s a reason I tell my patients not to fly right away after facelift surgery. After surgery, I require you to stay at least 10 days locally and before air travel. That number is not random - it is based on safety.

🧠 After surgery, the risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is higher, especially during the first 7 to 10 days. Because flying involves sitting for a long period of time, it can increase the chance of a blood clot forming. This is why recovery timing matters so much for traveling patients.

If you are coming in from out of town, planning the right amount of recovery time before your flight home is an important part of a safe surgical journey. You will not be alone in the process. My team will help guide you and coordinate everything from scheduling to follow-up so your experience feels organized and cared for from start to finish.

✨ Jennifer’s Endoscopic Facelift Journey - 2 Week Update ✨

Jennifer is now 2 weeks out from her endoscopic deep plane facelift and neck lift.

At this stage, you can already start to see the direction of her result. We lifted the outer brows, restored her cheeks to a more youthful position, improved her jawline definition, and created a stronger profile with more chin projection using fat grafting rather than an implant.

What I love most is that Jennifer’s result still looks like her - just more lifted, more defined, and more refreshed.

🧠 At 2 weeks after an endoscopic facelift, swelling is still very active, and some temporary dimpling or irregularity from deeper sutures can happen early in healing. In Jennifer’s case, we released one area of more noticeable dimpling early on, and it improved quickly. This is a good reminder that healing is dynamic, and sometimes small early adjustments are part of getting the best result.

This stage also shows why candidacy matters so much in an endoscopic approach. When a patient has healthy skin with good recoil, the skin can re-drape beautifully without needing visible skin removal. At just 2 weeks, Jennifer’s incisions are already very well hidden, and her early contour is settling nicely.

One of the most meaningful parts of Jennifer’s recovery has been her mindset. She approached a major surgery with trust and positivity, and that attitude can make a real difference in how patients experience the healing process.

What she got done:
✅ Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift
✅ Deep Neck Lift
✅ Deep Neck Contouring
✅ Facial Fat Transfer
✅ Rhinoplasty
✅ Subcision of Acne Scars

✨ Beth’s Facelift Journey - 6 Week Update ✨

Six weeks after her Facelift, Beth said something I love hearing: “They say that I look like me… but what did I do?” That is the goal. Beth looks refreshed, lifted, and more defined in her features - but still completely like herself. At this stage, her cheeks are elevated, her jawline and neck are beautifully improved, and her skin is improved with the CO2 laser resurfacing.

One of the most meaningful things Beth shared was her mindset: if you are going to commit to surgery, you have to trust the process and allow healing to evolve. Week by week, that is what she has seen. Undergoing a full face rejuvenation requires the right mindset, trust, and partnership.

Here’s what she underwent:
✅ Deep Plane Facelift
✅ Deep Neck Lift
✅ Deep Neck Contouring
✅ Endoscopic Brow Lift
✅ Upper Blepharoplasty (Revision)
✅ Lower Blepharoplasty (Revision)
✅ CO2 Laser Resurfacing
✅ Morpheus8 RF Microneedling
✅ Hyaluronidase Treatment

🧠 At 6 weeks after a facelift and full face rejuvenation, patients often look much more “like themselves,” but healing is still continuing. It is normal for the two sides to heal at different rates. At this stage and swelling continues to settle and usually continue improving over time.

🙏 Thank you, Beth, for being so open about your experience and for helping future patients understand the process. Love your candidness and humor! ❤️

💡One of the biggest questions patients have is whether or not they are a candidate for an endoscopic facelift.

The real test is not just whether the cheeks and jawline can be lifted - it is what happens to the extra skin once those deeper tissues are elevated.

🧠 An endoscopic facelift is usually best for patients who have sagging in the cheeks and jawline, but not a lot of loose extra skin. A simple way to think about it is this: if the cheeks and jawline are lifted upward and there is only a small amount of loose skin left in front of the ears, an endoscopic approach may work beautifully. But if there is a lot of bunching or extra skin left over, that can keep the result from laying flat and looking natural. In those cases, removing skin is often necessary, which usually points more toward an open approach. Some patients are also borderline candidates, meaning I may begin endoscopically and convert to an open approach only if needed to achieve the most natural result. At the end of the day, candidacy is really about how much extra skin remains once the deeper tissues are lifted.

✨ Jennifer’s Endoscopic Facelift Journey - Day 1 Incisions ✨

This is Jennifer on day 1 after surgery. At this stage, it is completely normal to see fullness, bruising, and swelling. She also had fat grafting and rhinoplasty that are contributing to the swelling. But even this early, you can already start to understand the direction of the lift, how the tissues were repositioned and the work that was done deep on the neck and jawline to give her the definition and contour she was looking for.

🧠 One of the biggest questions patients ask is: where are the incisions in an endoscopic facelift, and where does the skin go? In Jennifer’s case, the endoscopic facelift incisions are hidden within the hairline in the temple area, which allows me to reach into the midface and lift vertically. The deeper tissues are repositioned. There is also a small incision around the earlobe, with the tension redirected so the skin is not bunching in front of the ear.

What she got done:
✅ Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift
✅ Deep Neck Lift
✅ Deep Neck Contouring
✅ Rhinoplasty
✅ Facial Fat Transfer
✅ Subcision of Acne Scars

Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing this early stage of your healing so we can educate and also guide others with transparency on the early stages of recovery. ❤️

✨ Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift - Jennifer’s Journey ✨

Jennifer is 42 and wanted improvement in her lower face, cheeks, brow, and neck. She started to see early jowling. She had fuller and more lifted cheeks when she was younger. Jennifer wanted to look more refreshed. and wanted better definition in her jawline and neck.

For her, I recommended an endoscopic deep plane facelift approach, where I use smaller hidden incisions to reposition deeper facial structures.

🧠 The markings are a critical part of surgical planning because they guide everything that happens underneath the surface. In an endoscopic approach, I am mapping areas of volume loss for fat transfer, identifying important bony landmarks, and planning around key muscles and deeper anatomy so tissue can be repositioned safely and accurately through limited access points. I also carefully mark the jawline and neck, because those areas are essential to the final contour and overall harmony of the result.

What she’s about to get done:
✅ Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift
✅ Deep Neck Lift
✅ Deep Neck Contouring
✅ Rhinoplasty
✅ Facial Fat Transfer
✅ Subcision of Acne Scars

Jennifer chose to share her journey because she wants to pay it forward and help other women who might resonate with her story, so that they too can learn more about the recovery process and their own transformation.

➡️ My goal is to educate more about my endoscopic deep plane facelift. Let me know what questions you have!

✨ Beth’s Facelift Journey - Incisions + 2 Week Update ✨

Two weeks after her Facelift, Beth told me: “I look exactly the way I’d hoped I would.” Beth wanted to look refreshed, lifted, and like herself again - not different.

At this stage, that is exactly what is starting to come through. Her jawline and neck are showing and her expression still looks natural. Her incisions are healing well.

She has been very committed to her recovery, and it shows. At 2 weeks, swelling is still expected, and her skin is still early in healing from CO2 laser resurfacing, and she is right on track.

🧠 One of the most important parts of any surgery doesn’t happen in the operating room. It begins in a thoughtful, unhurried conversation beforehand.

I take time to carefully align expectations with my patients because recovery and outcomes are deeply personal. No two individuals heal the same way, and no result should ever feel one-size-fits-all, even with the same procedures.

When expectations are clear and grounded in reality, patients move through the process with greater ease, confidence, and trust.

My goal is never just a beautiful result - it’s a seamless, deeply personal experience where you feel informed, supported, and truly understood at every step.

Because beyond the outcome, this is partnership we create with intention and care.

🙏 Thank you, Beth, for allowing others to learn through your recovery. Your openness helps future patients understand the process.

✨ Beth’s Facelift Journey - 1 Week Update✨

One week after a full facial rejuvenation - and Beth is where I expect her to be.

Swelling is still present. Healing is still active. But the structure is there. Her sutures are out, her brows are sitting naturally above the brow bone instead of constantly overworking, and for the first time in her life - she has a visible neck and jawline.

And here’s the part most people don’t talk about. Recovery is not just physical. It’s emotional.

Beth has been spending time in our own hyperbaric oxygen chamber with other women who are recovering alongside her. Different stages. Different stories. Similar journey. They share experiences. They share progress. They encourage each other.

Recovery is a process. Community matters. Support matters. Seeing someone ahead of you gives you an idea of what recovery looks like so you know what to expect.

At 1 week post-op:
• Sutures were removed
• Swelling is appropriate (especially after combining surgery with CO2 laser)
• Zero pain level
• Energy is high
• Recovery is right on track

This stage is not the final result. It’s the foundation.

Here’s what she underwent:

✅ Deep Plane Facelift
✅ Deep Neck Lift
✅ Deep Neck Contouring
✅ Endoscopic Brow Lift
✅ Upper Blepharoplasty (Revision)
✅ Lower Blepharoplasty (Revision)
✅ CO2 Laser Resurfacing
✅ Morpheus8 RF Microneedling
✅ Hyaluronidase Treatment
