Marcia R!

Marcia was born in Toledo, Ohio on 12/23.
She Graduated from the University of Toledo with her Teaching Degree in Special Education.

She married her husband, Marvin, 47 years ago. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Marcia dedicated 30 years to Special Education, in addition to teaching for 18 years at an after-school program. She also spent 18 years as a Sunday School instructor, where she taught The Good Shepherds Program, a Montessori-based curriculum.

Her favorite thing about living at Fairmont is activities. She loves Bingo, Sittercise, Cards and Audiobook Club. Marcia is legally blind, and Audiobooks are a comfort to her. She also enjoys the outside path and feels safe walking it.
Marcia’s favorite quote is “God, grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Matt got started in healthcare because he wanted to help people while he was going to school.
He has been working here for 20 years, and his favorite thing is getting to know and help great people.

Resident of the Month Spotlight:

Janet C!

Janet was born in Fremont, Ohio on August 27.
She has two sons, four grandkids and four great grandkids. She loves her family!

She moved around a lot and settled back in Ohio in 1996. Ohio has been her favorite place to live. She loves being by the lake were she used to fish and swim.

Janet started teaching piano at 14 in her own neighborhood. She then majored in music and taught it her whole life!

Janet’s philosophy on life is “It’s better to laugh than cry”.
