With the power outage expected to last until August 14 keep in mind the following tips for your powered medical equipment from AccuCare:

Lift Chairs:
Lift chairs come with a battery back up however, the battery back up will need to be charged in order to keep of use. The lithium battery under the chair can be unplugged and you can bring it into our store and we will charge it for you. Please use your lift chair sparingly as it is only intended for short term use. The the old style 9 V batteries however, our intended to provide lift for one time use.


Stair lifts :
You should keep your stair climber unplugged during a powder outage. Turn on when you need to use it and then turn it off when not in use. Remember when the power is restored to turn the unit on again. Please call the store if you need help locating your switch on your stair climber. 

Scooters :
Your scooter battery will need to be charged in order to keep using your power operated vehicle. You can come on into the store with the battery and we will charge it up for you as we have power in both our Westlake and Lynhurst locations.

Dear Clients,
The health and well-being of our clients and staff is our top priority. As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, we are monitoring the situation closely.
At this time, Accucare remains open Monday thru Friday 9:00 am til 5:00 pm. Our senior only hours are from 9-10 am. We will be temporarily be closed on Saturday. Please call us if you need an appt on Saturday and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff within our facilities.
We have added additional cleaning and disinfection procedures for our buildings, especially focusing on commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, counters, etc. The disinfectants we use have been tested to make sure they kill COVID-19, and we have added additional products to our cleaning regimen to ensure we are doing everything we can to help stop the spread.
We respectively ask that only one person enter the store for services per family.
We respectively ask that you and staff maintain a 6-foot distance as per CDC guidelines.
We understand that social distancing is important, especially for those of our clients considered to be “high risk” for severe complications from COVID-19. We are implementing the following accommodations:
• If you would prefer, please remain in your car and call us when you arrive. We can assist you from your vehicle. You can also call ahead and confer with a sales person. They can have products placed in will call.
• If you would prefer not to enter the building for an existing order, please call us from your car and we can bring your products out to you.
• Please also remember that you can utilize our website to view products and supplies, and call our store to have products ordered or placed in will call for you.
•
If you are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask that you remain away from the store. A trusted friend, neighbor, or healthy family member may pick up your supplies or call the store for another arrangement.
