We are excited to announce that our September Pet of the Month winner is : Mr. Harvey R.!

Some facts about Harvey that his parents shared with us :

Nicknames: Bubbie, Harvard, Bear, Harv & Harveybear
Siblings: Cleo & Taco (short hair cats, Harvey is the youngest)
Favorite toy: Anything that can be played with! Sticks, ropes, preferably sticks with ropes!
Favorite snack: Ice cubes, peanut butter, & apples!
Favorite napping spot: Any spot that’s cold, specifically in front of the air vents.
Favorite place to go on a walk to: Our neighbor Beverly’s House! She has the best treats!
Favorite place to drive to: The beach!
Harvey is a very vocal dog who loves to cuddle and loves a good hug! He is friends with every person he meets and always wants to make sure they have a smile on their face! He loves to say hi to everybody we pass when we are on a walk & he is positive that every mailman has a treat in their pocket!

Some facts about Hazel that her parents shared with us :

- Nicknames: Hazelnut, Crazy Hazy, Hoover, and too many more to list
- Any animal Siblings: No, but people in general are her siblings
- Favorite Toys: Balls and other dogs to befriend
- Favorite Snack: dog biscuits and anything that drops on the floor in the kitchen (hence the nickname “Hoover”)
- Favorite Napping Spot: Our walk-in closet, the garage, and her parents’ bed
- Favorite place to go on walks or in the car: She loves to walk around the neighborhood and to any park. She also loves her doggie day care.
- Fun Facts or Special Tricks: She plays catch with herself like a ball player, throwing the ball in the air then catching it. She loves to romp around in her pool or shallow lakes, rivers, etc. Hazel does not like shadows from the sun and becomes very overstimulated by them. Her main purpose in life is to be pet by everyone she meets!

- Nicknames: Chop Chop, Chopa Lapa Dopa
- Animal Sibling: Wally
- Favorite Toy: stuffed elephant, rubber wish bones, cardboard boxes, and shoes
- Favorite Snack: yogurt and carrots
- Napping Spot: On the couch with his favorite people or the back porch
- Favorite place to go on walks: around the neighborhood
- Fun facts: at 3 weeks old, Chop was a free puppy from a Subway in Athens, Ohio. He makes weird noises, is cranky in the morning, loves to cuddle, is a big baby who loves to be held, loves to follow Wally chasing squirrels (he has now clue they are chasing squirrels), his bark sometimes sounds like a sneeze, he just loves anyone!!

We are excited to announce that our June Pet of the Month winner is: Miss Juniper V..!

Some facts about Juniper that her parents shared with us :

Nicknames: June Bug and Juni
Siblings: Remy and Korra
Favorite Toy: ribbons and her tunnel
Favorite Snack: Any wet food. She is a dry food cat most of the time, but if we pull out wet food she is thrilled. She also knows the sound of a whip cream can and will run across the house just to get a small taste!
Nap Spot: on her oversized pink ghost blanket with a heating pad underneath
She loves running through her tunnel and then diving into her felt cave. Juniper and her sister, Korra, will take turns running through the tunnel to catch a toy.
She loves watching bird feeder videos on YouTube! The first time she saw them, she attacked the TV!
She dramatically sniffs the air whenever we eat, hoping to get a bite.
We have never seen a cat attack a scratcher quite like Juniper. She shreds the cardboard into confetti, and it ends up everywhere.
We rescued her last September, and since then, she has fit into our family perfectly! She came from a very rough situation, and she could have had any type of personality as a result. She ended up being the most fun-loving, cuddling, playful little angel, and we are so grateful to have her!

The clinic will be closed on Monday, May 26th, in honor of Memorial Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 27th, at 9 a.m. Please be mindful of your pets this weekend and pay close attention to their stress levels. Provide plenty of fresh water and have a plan in place should your pet need a break from being social.
