In response to forecasted low temperatures and potential snow, Carroll County will open warming centers at various locations and times beginning Friday, January 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. through Monday January 6th.

Residents who are vulnerable to extreme cold temperatures and do not have adequate shelter are encouraged to warm up at the following locations:

Friday, January 3rd 3:00pm through Tuesday, January 7th at 8:00am

Human Services Programs adult only, Night by Night Shelter, located at 127 Stoner Avenue, Westminster.
Saturday, January 4th 9:00am – 5:00pm

Do you know someone who could benefit from food delivery? Read below or contact us for more information.

The Bureau of Aging & Disabilities Title IIIC program assists people 60 years and older, and their spouse of any age, who are homebound and can’t shop for food or prepare meals because of illness and/or chronic physical disabilities. The driver who brings the meals also provides a smile and the daily social contact that everyone needs.

Participants can choose up to 3 meal options per day for up to 7 days a week.

People may request home delivered meals for themselves. Anyone may make a referral on an older adult’s behalf:
• Friend or family member
• Doctor or healthcare staff

South Carroll Senior and Community Center, 5928 Mineral Hill Road, Eldersburg (8 AM - 4 PM, Wed.)
Taneytown Senior and Community Center, 220 Roberts Mill Road, Taneytown (8 AM - 4 PM, Wed.)
