For this week’s Resident Spotlight, we wanted to shine our light on the marvelous, Ms. Marylou Graham.

Marylou is originally from Laurel, Maryland and moved to the Terraces at Westminster a little over three years ago. You can either find her in some of her favorite activities such as: Bingo, Arts & Crafts & religious activities or watching Family Feud in her room while socializing with family and friends.

As a retired nurse, Marylou enjoys offering help to where it’s needed as she feels that helping people has always been her purpose.

When asked Marylou, what she enjoys best about living here at the Terraces at Westminster, she replied with, “Everyone here is just always so nice! There’s always something fun I can look forward to doing as well. Thank you for always including me!”

This week we invite you to meet Sondria Peebles, CMT/PCA!

Sondria has been with us for three months and has already become an invaluable part of our team. Trained on all levels of care and primarily serving our Journeys Unit, she consistently goes above and beyond to support both residents and colleagues.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Sondria shared: “I really enjoy and love spending time with our residents, getting to know them on a more personal level than just caring for them—they become like family.”

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Sondria on our team—her compassion, work ethic, and positive attitude truly embody our values.

We are on one of our star residents, James!

James joined our Westminster Terraces family over a year ago. You can find him occasionally at bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as at meals socializing with his buddies.

James is an Army and National Guard Veteran; you can spot him on our Veteran Wall! He enjoys playing bingo, spending time with his family, keeping up with sports and working with therapy.

When asked James, what he enjoys about living here at the Terraces at Westminster, he said, “it’s a very nice, clean environment. Everyone here is always so kind and pleasant”.

Pat is from Baltimore City. She was a Teacher at Franklin Middle & JohnnyCake High. She also used to do ghost tours and volunteer as a Civil War-Reenactor!

Pat’s favorite hobbies are gardening, book club, occasional bingo, musical entertainments and happy hour!

When asked Pat what she enjoys most about being at the Terraces at Westminster, she replied with, “I enjoy being here with all of my friends. All of you.”

This week, as the industry celebrates its leaders during , we're shining a light on the heart of The Terraces at Westminster: our Executive Director, Amy Dever.

Amy graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and years later, after raising her own children, she was encouraged to explore Activities for Assisted Living and Dementia Care.

She was instantly hooked. What began as a part-time Activities Assistant role at a local CCRC quickly grew into positions as Activities Coordinator, Memory Care Director, Sales Director, and ultimately Executive Director.

“What I love about this field is the interaction with families and residents. Helping families find the care they need, building trust, and seeing residents flourish in their new environments is so rewarding. I’ve been an Executive Director for 4 years now and I never feel like work is boring or unimportant. I am proud of my community for the impact they are making on our residents’ lives—and the fun they provide while doing it.”

Since joining the Westminster family in August, Stacey has demonstrated unwavering commitment to compassionate, personalized care. Residents, co-workers, and supervisors alike have recognized her dedication and the positive impact she creates every day.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at the Terraces at Westminster, she shared, "I enjoy coming to work every day to be greeted with smiles from the residents because they are so excited to see me. I enjoy being able to have the opportunity to give back and create a positive impact on their lives."

Stacey consistently goes above and beyond to ensure each resident’s needs are met, making her a true asset to our team.
