If you have medical equipment that requires power and you lose power at your residence, help is available. Special Medical Needs Shelters are planned to open in Anderson, Pickens, Greenville and Oconee counties in the event of power outages. To secure access, you must call the South Carolina Department of Public Health triage line at 1-833-351-9990 for approval.

Please understand that medical care is not provided at these shelters and that these shelters should be used only when other options are not available.

If you have an emergent medical need, visit your nearest emergency department.

Please be prepared and be safe amid hazardous winter weather.
