As I write this, the Moon has just moved into Virgo. We are officially inside the eclipse corridor now.
The Total Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse perfects on Tuesday at 6:37 am EST. It’s aligned with the South Node, creating a cosmic, karmic release and demanding we let go of perfectionism, excessive worry, and rigid control. It signals the end of old routines, work patterns, and self-criticism, encouraging us to move from over-analyzing to trusting the flow of life.
Virgo refines, edits, and tends to the body and the details that keep life functional. When an eclipse occurs here, the illumination falls on the systems that quietly run our lives - our health, our daily rhythms, our work habits, our standards, and the stories we tell ourselves about usefulness and worth.
At the moment of the eclipse, the Moon is exactly conjunct the asteroid Celestia, associated with finding peace, tranquility, and connection to a higher or more ethereal realm within one’s life. The Sun, opposite in Pisces, is sitting with Pallas Athena - creative intelligence, strategic wisdom, and the “warrior for peace” archetype. Think wisdom meeting dissolution. Pattern recognition meeting surrender.
Mercury retrograde in Pisces is conjunct Venus and Persephone. Conversations about love, value, and identity are not moving forward so much as they are descending. Something is being revisited at the root and is being asked to mature.
Black Moon Lilith is squaring the Nodes, and this adds depth. Old instinctual material rises. The parts of us that were once silenced or shamed may find their voice. There can be a reckoning with where we have been compliant, where we have been hyper-responsible, and where we have carried more than was ours to carry.
Virgo’s medicine is discernment. Pisces’ medicine is trust. And together they ask: what can be released so that the nervous system can soften? What can be simplified so that life feels cleaner?
Eclipses often reveal what has already been in motion beneath the surface. Over the next weeks, watch the body, the routines, and the relational patterns that feel outdated. Notice what feels complete and ready to end.
To me, this eclipse is a call to maturity and acceptance. We’re being asked to notice where we are ready to set something down.
