June 6, 1944 D Day

Many people struggle with the concept of why a loving and all-powerful God would allow evil to happen in the world. One explanation is that God has given us free will, the ability to make our own choices and decisions. This autonomy is a gift from God, allowing us to choose between right and wrong, good and evil.

Throughout history, there have been horrific events such as the Holocaust that have caused immense suffering and devastation. It is difficult to understand why God would allow such evil to occur. However, it is important to remember that God does not cause evil to happen but rather allows it to unfold due to the choices made by individuals with their free will.

In times of great darkness and adversity, God has also shown his grace and power by giving strength and courage to individuals who rise up and fight against evil. During World War II, brave men and women stood up against the tyranny of the N***s, risking their lives to save others and ultimately bringing an end to the Holocaust.

God works in mysterious ways, and while we may not always understand why certain evils occur, we can take comfort in knowing that God is with us, giving us the strength and courage to overcome evil and make the world a better place. Let us remember the heroes who stood up against injustice and the sacrifices they made to bring about a brighter future for all.

The angel rolled the stone away.

Matthew 28:6 proclaims, "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." This powerful declaration signifies not just the physical resurrection of Jesus, but also the symbolic opening of the tomb. The tomb was opened not for Jesus to come out, but for us to be let in. It was an invitation for us to enter into God's kingdom and encounter the miraculous truth of the resurrection.

When we seek answers and the truth, God welcomes us with open arms. He has no ill will when we seek to find Him, for He knows that our pursuit will always lead us back to Him. This echoes the words of Matthew 7:7, "Seek and you will find," reassuring us that our search for God will not be in vain.

In the Bible, we see the story of Jacob wrestling with God in Genesis 32:22-32. This struggle symbolizes the spiritual journey of seeking and encountering God, where Jacob prevails and is blessed by God himself. Just as Jacob wrestled with God, we are also called to wrestle with our doubts, fears, and uncertainties, knowing that God will ultimately reveal Himself to us.

So let us not hesitate to investigate, question, and seek the truth, for the tomb is open, and the risen Christ beckons us to enter into His glorious presence. May we be bold in our pursuit of God, trusting that He will guide us on a transformative journey towards Him.

In Luke 23:40-43, as Jesus hangs on the cross between two criminals, one of them mocks him while the other asks for forgiveness. Jesus responds by telling the repentant criminal, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." The word "paradise" in this context refers to the ultimate reward for those who believe in Jesus and repent of their sins. It signifies eternal life in the presence of God.

The word "paradise" is also used in other instances in the Bible, such as in Genesis 2:8-9 where it refers to the Garden of Eden, a place of perfect peace and harmony between God and humanity before the Fall. In Revelation 2:7, it is mentioned as the promised reward for those who overcome in their faith.

Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, which is the ultimate demonstration of God's grace and forgiveness towards humanity. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus offers us the gift of eternal life in paradise, reconciling us with God and granting us a place in his kingdom.

As Christians, we believe that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we are forgiven of our sins and offered the hope of eternal life in paradise. This is the ultimate grace that God offers us, despite our shortcomings and failures. It is a reminder of the unwavering love and mercy of God towards all of humanity.

So this Easter, let us remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the promise of paradise that awaits us. Let us embrace the grace and forgiveness that he offers us and live in a way that reflects his love and mercy towards others. Let us strive to live a life worthy of the eternal life that has been promised to us through the resurrection of Jesus.

After Jesus' death, the disciples were likely feeling a mixture of grief, confusion, fear, and disbelief. They had believed that Jesus was the Messiah who would bring salvation to the world, but now he was dead. They may have been questioning everything they had witnessed during their time with Jesus and wondering what would happen next. Holy Saturday, therefore, is a time for reflection. Let us remind ourselves of some of the teachings Jesus left us from his ministry in the gospels.

Lesson 1: Love your neighbor as yourself
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus teaches, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). This lesson emphasizes the importance of treating others with kindness, compassion, and respect.

Lesson 2: Turn the other cheek
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus instructs his followers, "But I say to you, do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also" (Luke 6:29). This lesson teaches us to respond to hurtful actions with grace and forgiveness.

Lesson 3: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12). This lesson encourages us to treat others the way we would like to be treated.

Lesson 4: Seek first the kingdom of God
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus advises his followers, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). This lesson reminds us to prioritize our relationship with God above all else.

Lesson 5: Trust in God's provision
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus reassures his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on" (Luke 12:22). This lesson teaches us to trust in God's provision and not worry about material possessions.

Lesson 6: Humility is key
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells his followers, "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted" (Matthew 23:12). This lesson emphasizes the importance of humility and putting others before ourselves.

Lesson 7: Forgive others
In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus teaches, "And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses" (Mark 11:25). This lesson reminds us of the importance of forgiveness in our relationships with others.

Lesson 8: Have faith like a child
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3). This lesson encourages us to approach our faith with childlike simplicity and trust.

Lesson 9: Serve others
In the Gospel of John, Jesus demonstrates the importance of serving others by washing his disciples' feet (John 13:1-17). This lesson teaches us to follow Jesus' example and serve those around us with humility and love.

Lesson 10: Walk in obedience to God's will
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus prays to God, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Matthew 26:39). This lesson reminds us of the importance of surrendering our own desires and walking in obedience to God's will.

Lesson 11: Stay connected to the vine
In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). This lesson teaches us to stay connected to Jesus and draw our strength and nourishment from him.

Lesson 12: Spread the good news
In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus commands his disciples to "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation" (Mark 16:15). This lesson encourages us to share the message of Jesus' love and salvation with others.

Bonus Lesson: Trust in God's timing
In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells his disciples, "My hour has not yet come" (John 2:4). This lesson reminds us to trust in God's perfect timing and have faith that he is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

Good Friday is a solemn day observed by Christians around the world, commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is a day of reflection and remembrance of the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sins. It is a time to contemplate the ultimate act of love and redemption, as we consider the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross. This day serves as a reminder of the profound message of forgiveness and salvation that is at the heart of the Christian faith. Let us take a moment to pause and reflect on the significance of Good Friday and the profound love that Christ demonstrated for each and every one of us. โœ๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š

02/15/2024

Since Valentine's Day โค๏ธ was yesterday, let us visit the heart chakra, also known as Anahata. It is the fourth chakra in the body's energy system and is located at the center of the chest. It is associated with love, compassion, forgiveness, and connection. When the heart chakra is balanced, we feel a deep sense of love and empathy for ourselves and others, as well as a strong connection to the world around us.

There are a variety of yoga poses that can help to open and balance the heart chakra. These poses can help to release emotional blockages, increase feelings of compassion, and promote a sense of well-being.

1. Camel Pose (Ustrasana): This backbend opens the chest and stretches the front of the body, allowing energy to flow more freely through the heart chakra.

2. Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana): This pose helps to open the chest and stretch the spine, promoting feelings of love and compassion.

3. Fish Pose (Matsyasana): Fish pose opens the chest and throat, stimulating the heart chakra and encouraging emotional release.

4. Cow Face Pose (Gomukhasana): This pose stretches the chest and shoulders, helping to release tension and open the heart chakra.

5. Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana): This backbend not only opens the chest but also helps to strengthen the heart and lungs, promoting a sense of openness and compassion.

In addition to practicing these heart-opening poses, it can also be helpful to incorporate heart-focused breathing exercises, meditation, and positive affirmations into your yoga practice to further support the opening and balancing of the heart chakra.

Remember, it's important to listen to your body and practice these poses with awareness and compassion for yourself. Opening the heart chakra can bring up emotions, and it's important to approach the practice with love and patience.

By incorporating these heart-opening poses into your yoga practice, you can work to create balance and harmony within the heart chakra, allowing love and compassion to flow freely in your life. Embrace the practice and feel the power of the heart chakra in your life.

If you are becoming more spirtual, you should be coming to appreciate others' journeys. If you are finding yourself not agreeing with others' spirituality, worship, or path to the divine, that is a problem. You are not following a healthy spiritual path but more of a tribalism. Falling into a study of the accouterments of a culture or religion. You are missing the true essence of spiritual wisdom and growth. Don't just wear a spiritual custome or outfit. Focus on wearing a change of heart, a change of consciousness, and how you treat yourself and others.

01/31/2024

In a Vinyasa yoga class, we often begin by performing Sun Salutations to warm up the body and synchronize our breath with movement. We start by standing tall in Mountain pose, grounding our feet and lifting our arms overhead. As we exhale, we fold forward, hinging at the hips and allowing our torso to drape over our legs in Forward Fold.

From there, we move into a Halfway Lift, extending the spine and looking forward to lengthen the body. Then, we step or jump back into Plank pose, where we lower down through Chaturanga or Low Plank and transition into a gentle backbend with Cobra or Upward Dog. Finally, we lift our hips up and back into Downward Dog before stepping or jumping back to Forward Fold and rising back up to Mountain pose.

Each of these positions involves important aspects of correct form, such as engaging the core, maintaining a strong and stable alignment, and breathing deeply. These movements not only warm up the body but also serve as a moving meditation, encouraging us to focus on the present moment and connect with our breath.

Sun Salutations are a foundational sequence in Vinyasa yoga, and they help us to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. So, the next time you flow through these poses, remember to pay attention to your form, breathe deeply, and enjoy the fluidity of movement as you start your practice with intention and mindfulness.

01/31/2024

Friends, I wanted to share some thoughts and insights with you all today. Like many of you, I have faced some challenges over the last few years, and I have come to believe that suffering can lead us to salvation and true joy.

It is so important for us to acknowledge and accept our suffering rather than deny it or push it away. This can ultimately lead us to choose one of two paths: the path of resentment and vengeance, or the path of forgiveness and grace.

I have seen this play out in my own life, and it has been a powerful lesson for me. I have learned that holding onto resentment and seeking revenge only leads to more harm, both to myself and to others. On the other hand, choosing the path of forgiveness, whether it be forgiving ourselves or others, can lead to grace and peace.

I often think of the example of Christ, who suffered terribly on the cross. Despite this suffering, he looked upon the situation and the people causing it with compassion and forgiveness, ultimately opening the gates of heaven. I believe that we can find similar power and transformation in our own lives through forgiveness.

I hope that these thoughts can offer some peace and guidance to anyone who may be struggling with their own challenges. Remember that suffering can lead to salvation, and forgiveness can lead to grace.

With love and light, namaste ๐Ÿ™ โค๏ธ

01/29/2024

Hey yogis! Today, I want to talk about the power of simply going for a walk and repeating a mantra when you're feeling overwhelmed or caught up in negative thoughts.

We all have those moments when we make a mistake or something doesn't go as planned. It's easy to get caught up in our own heads, dwelling on the error or seeking advice from others on how to "defuse" ourselves. But sometimes, all we need is to take a step back and refocus our minds.

Going for a walk and focusing on our breath can have a profound impact on our mental state. As we take each step, we can let go of the thoughts that weigh us down and simply be present in the moment. Repeating a mantra can further center our minds and bring about a sense of calm and clarity.

In this way, we allow ourselves to refocus and realign with the abundant grace of the Lord. Much like the growth of a lotus, which starts as a seed in the mud and blossoms into a beautiful flower, we too can blossom. It's a reminder that no matter how deep we may feel in the mud, we have the potential to rise and flourish.

So the next time you find yourself caught up in negativity or self-doubt, consider taking a peaceful walk and repeating a mantra. Let go of the need to dwell on mistakes or seek external validation. Instead, trust in the Lord's grace and allow yourself to blossom, just like a lotus. Breathe in, breathe out, and remember that you have the power to refocus your mind and let yourself flourish.
