Yesterday marked a monumental day in my journey of promoting health and well-being for men and boys of color. In a remarkable display of bipartisan recognition, I was honored on the Senate floor in Maryland. 🏛️
Republican Senator Chris West, alongside Democratic Senator Jill Carter, presented me with a Resolution from the State of Maryland, acknowledging my relentless efforts in this noble cause. The support didn’t stop there; Republican Senator Justin Ready, my fellow "wrestling dad," along with the entire Senate, unanimously applauded our collective mission. 🤝
What made this recognition even more special was the acknowledgment of my backbone, my wife Devonna Bell, Senator Carter made it a point to highlight her indispensable role in our family and our community efforts. Behind every successful endeavor, there stands a strong support system, and Devonna is mine. ❤️
This isn't just about me. This recognition signifies a trifecta of honors, including The Presidential Service Award and two separate resolutions from Baltimore City, thanks to Councilman Carl Stokes and Council President Jack Young, for our dedication to Baltimore’s residents and our commitment to healthy living.
But here's where I turn to you, my community: This journey is far from over. We have much more to accomplish together. I invite you to join me in this mission to uplift and empower our communities.
