Celebrating Our Everyday Heroes: Caregiver Appreciation Lunch!

Yesterday’s lunch wasn’t just about food, it was about honoring the heart and soul behind what makes our service exceptional: our caregivers.

We hosted a special Caregiver Appreciation Lunch to recognize the hard work, compassion, and patience our team brings every single day. The goal? Simple: say THANK YOU, not just in words, but in time, laughter, and appreciation.

A huge shoutout to:
• Freddie Cueto – who reminds us that caregiving is both a way to help others and a way to grow personally.
• Arlene Gabrido – whose dedication to providing physical, emotional, and medical support is truly inspiring.
• Violeta Lim – a proud member of the Alternative Home Care family since 2002! Her wisdom and insight into dementia care show the heart it takes to be truly great at this job.
• Jesse – whose passion for helping others shines through in every word (and we respect your privacy. No photos, just love!).

Also sending love and gratitude to Marilou Adraneda, Ofelia Terrado, and Rhoda Literato, who couldn’t make it to the luncheon but are absolutely essential to our team. Your commitment and consistency never go unnoticed. Whether in the home or behind the scenes, you each bring something irreplaceable to our mission.

As Violeta graciously shared:
“Being a caregiver is not always easy, especially when our clients have dementia. But with patience, understanding, and common sense, we can do our jobs in the right and safe way.”

Because at the end of the day, caregivers don’t just support daily tasks, they support daily dignity.
