We have been running the new machine this week. It is flawless. Everyone seems to like the upgraded experience and many have felt that they are getting a better therapy session from it. I hope that is true, but could be the same trick the mind plays after getting your car back from the shop and everything seems to be better. I am posting an updated price list.

A follow up post about the new HBOT. It is set up. Will be testing it after the holiday to be sure we understand how to use this one. It is pretty simple overall, but there are some nuances. I am a bit ashamed to say that I never had a dive in the first HBOT (I have a similar one at home so didn't see the need), but I am proud to say that I have taken the first dive in the new one. Oh boy! No comparison. I suspect those who are claustrophobic will still not be happy sitting in it. I can stretch out in it and Mrs. Lange can lay the chair flat like a bed and not touch the ends. It is also very quiet, not perfectly sound proof, but the outside world disappears during therapy. The AC system keeps the air very comfortable. Maybe not cold enough for some but I had no issues at 72 degrees.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped out. Thanks to the moving crew who managed to get it where we wanted it despite our help. Art, Jerry and Bob who put everything back together after I tore it apart. Nurse Deb and Logan who managed the office and clean up. And most importantly, Mrs. Lange, who gave up a day of rare vacation to allow this to take place. Looking forward to more amazing stories of healing through the power of oxygen.

Exciting day at the clinic!
Our new HBOT chamber has arrived!

2 posts in one day! Sad news that after a year the hyperbaric chamber zipper has finally given up the ghost. We have been working with a slightly broken zipper for a couple of weeks but tonight the zipper appears to have met it's end. Will see if a bit more patience can help resuscitate it. The good news is that a new one is on the way. This one is a massive upgrade over the one that we currently use. It should be here in the next week or so. It will not be an easy install and the clinic will need to close for a time to get that done. I will post when that happens. The not so good news is that I will need to raise the price a bit. There will be no adjustment for anyone who is prepaid. I guess this lasts until the new one is installed. I will post an updated price list when we are ready to get started using it.

Hi all. A quick update for anyone not a patient but a FB follower. I have reached maximum capacity for patient care. I set out with a goal of 400 subscribers (essentially families) and when I got there, it still seemed that there was capacity so I let it ride knowing that at some point that feeling of capacity would disappear. That day has come. It has gotten difficult to see patients and make all the needed phone calls in a timely manner and I feel like I am letting some down with my delays. In order to not make that worse, I am starting the waiting list. Thank you all for your support and understanding.

Since the yard was still under water after 2 inches of rain yesterday, most of what I wanted to do outside needs to be postponed. But that made it the perfect time to pick pears! I forgot the variety long ago, but it is a full size tree. They are on the small size but mighty tasty. I have one bucket that I will be bringing to the clinic tomorrow for anyone who wants them. There may be more in the future depending on how many Mrs. Lange wants to process.

Whatever you think of the recently passed "One Big Beautiful Bill," one huge item for Direct Primary Care is that HSA dollars can now be used to pay for services at DPC clinics. As best as I can tell, this is effective immediately. It does not seem that all HSA providers have updated their policies just yet, so if you have an HSA and are being declined when trying to pay for your DPC services, please contact the HSA to get them to update their policies.

Sorry, it has been a long time since the last post. This recent article in the Babylon Bee struck me as too funny, but too true. The article has a FaceBook link so I am going to guess that it is ok to repost.

U.S. — A terrifying study has confirmed what some already feared: there are people still getting vaccinated for COVID.

As long as I am posting, it is time to send out a reminder about Bow The Knee. This is a Passion Week/Easter musical that I have been in for many years. There are 2 weekends that this will take place, 4/5-6 and 4/12-13. I have the postcard with more specifics posted as well. My weekend is the first one at Trinity on Stewart Avenue. Consider attending one of the 4 performances though as it is a very moving and inspiring musical.

I wanted to post a follow up for how Swift if going taking care of warts. For the most part, all is going well. I think it is better tolerated than cryotherapy and since there is no blister to manage after the patients can get back to normal activities right away. The company said that the average number of treatments is 3, but that has not been my experience. Maybe I need to be more aggressive with the power setting, but Patients are getting to the power level that they can tolerate so not sure how to get over that limitation. I am the only one in the area using this technology for the moment. Still just 50 dollars a treatment.

It appears that we are back to a real winter, at least in terms of viral illnesses. I was reading a Newsmax article and a couple of lines caught my attention. One was the statement that somehow pan(sham)demic lockdowns weakened our immune systems. Poppycock! Our immune systems were challenged exactly as always throughout the past 5 years and even if somehow for three years there was less, why wouldn't we have recovered in the last 2 years. But I guess if you do not want to admit the danger of the jab to human health, this excuse sounds good to the uniformed. The other item that caught my attention is that Aurora is going back to masks. I am not sure if I want to call this "stupid" or "insane." I can't fix stupid and on an institutional level there isn't enough duct tape to make it be quiet. I don't understand (ok maybe I do) why 100+ years of research that reaches the same conclusion that masks do not stop the spread of respiratory viruses does not stop this sort of behavior. Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result is the very definition of insane. I guess until staff and patients say enough is enough then institutions will get away with this.

The best way to deal with this is what we have been told since childhood. Wash your hands. Don't touch your face. Stay home when you are sick.

Keep in mind that peroxide rinses and nebulizer treatments can kill the viruses before taking hold. Dilution recipe posted probably about 2 years ago.

Alright, rant over. Stay healthy everyone. Lifetime member of the free face society!

Introducing Swift. This is a handheld microwave technology for the treatment of warts and other skin conditions. By heating the tissue up, the body's immune system is stimulated to attack the virus and wipe it out. On average, it takes 3 treatments for warts. Won't say it doesn't sting, but no blister after treatment like with cryotherapy. The company is exploring additional uses for this like toenail fungus. I am still working on all the possibilities for using this. This picture does not show it with a disposable tip on it. The tip is pricey and will need to be charged each time the device gets used. Thank you for continuing to support independent medicine and allowing me to indulge in new and innovative technologies to better care for you.
