It can feel overwhelming to know where to start to find the right therapist. The good news is that there are steps you can take to make the process feel more manageable.

First, consider what you're hoping to gain from therapy—whether it's coping strategies, a better understanding of yourself, or support through a difficult time.

Next, find a therapist that specializes in that. You can look through online directories, or you can give us a call and we'll match you with the right fit near you. 📞🐘

Remember, it's important to find someone you trust and feel at ease with. Don't be afraid to ask questions. They're here to help you grow and thrive, and we're here to make it easier for you to get there.

Feeling the winter blues? ❄️ Not sure if it's Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or Depression?

Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD) might look and feel like depression (feeling down, sad, unmotivated, or tired, having trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating)..... but with SAD these symptoms improve or disappear entirely during the spring and summer when there’s more sunlight. 🌤️

(Whereas If you notice that you're feeling these symptoms in the summer or they feel more severe, it may be major depressive disorder.)

Learn how to recognize the signs and discover practical ways to boost your mood during the colder months at our blog: https://elliementalhealth.com/understanding-seasonal-affective-disorder-symptoms-causes-and-coping-strategies/
