LASER FOR IMPROVED SKIN TEXTURE, SCARS AND WRINKLES

The Lumenis M22 ResurFX laser is a nonablative fractional laser. The laser is broken into tiny narrow beams that tunnel into skin, creating controlled microscopic injuries that trigger a healing response, including a boost in collagen and elastin. The results are a tighter, more even textured skin with less wrinkles. A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to the laser beam passing over the treatment area. It’s not uncommon to experience swelling and mild scabbing 2-4 days following treatment and redness and sensitive skin for up to five days after treatment.

LASER FOR TATTOO REMOVAL

The most popular laser for tattoo removal is the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser because it produces several wavelengths
of light energy for the greatest versatility when treating ink colors. Q-switched lasers have been around since the late 90’s, and the technology has progressed immensely since then to give faster removal and better results for a wider range of ink colors and skin tones. The Q-switched laser is the only technology that is able to pe*****te down to the dermis and shatter tattoo ink without causing damage to the surrounding skin tissue. Once the ink has been broken down into tiny microscopic pieces, the body’s lymphatic system flushes it out of the body. Multiple visits are required dependent upon the size of the tattoo and ink type. Tattoo removal can be uncomfortable and a topical numbing cream will be used prior to treatment to make the visit more tolerable and productive as possible.
