Our Native American Heritage Kids Club turned into a fry bread frenzy—and let’s just say, the flour didn’t stay in the bowls! 😂

From mixing to munching, we had a blast learning and creating together. Who knew making fry bread could double as a snowstorm indoors? ❄️ Also, check out the creative totem poles that were made!

🌟 Gavin’s Best of All 🌟

At GiGi’s Playhouse, “Best of All” isn’t just a phrase—it’s a mindset. It means striving to be a little better than yesterday, celebrating progress, and embracing growth in every form.

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate Gavin, one of our amazing Teen Kitchen participants! Gavin’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From needing extra support in the kitchen to confidently chopping vegetables and even leading by example with new volunteers—his growth shows what “Best of All” truly looks like in action.

Gavin reminds us that progress isn’t always linear, but it’s always worth celebrating. 💪✨

GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau

GiGi’s Playhouse is the ONLY nationwide network of Down syndrome achievement centers; changing lives through free, results-driven programs for individuals of all ages, families and communities. GiGi’s Playhouse is an inspirational and dedicated place for families to celebrate their child and benefit from free programs that unleash joy, confidence and continuous improvement. Playhouses empower children and adults to achieve their “Best of All” and to pursue their dreams. Founded by GiGi's Mom, Nancy Gianni, in Hoffman Estates, IL, the organization now includes 46 community Playhouses including the first global Playhouse location in Mexico. In helping individuals with Down syndrome, we can address our larger vision of global acceptance for people of all abilities. Playhouse programs, marketing and PR campaigns, impact partnerships and community engagements all aim to change society’s outdated perceptions by showcasing participants’ skills, contributions and character. By breaking down barriers and changing the way the world accepts individuals with Down syndrome, we can foster a daily mindset of life, love, acceptance and hope for everyone.

My name is Erica Erdman and I am the mother of Braxton who has Down syndrome. Before I had Braxton, I really had no idea what Down syndrome was. I was afraid of what the future would hold for Braxton based on the limited resources in our area. I was skeptical about the opportunities available for him and even more so, worried about how he would be accepted into the community. But what I have discovered to be a beacon to the Down syndrome community at large is GiGi’s Playhouse. I am so excited to introduce the North Central WI community to GiGi’s Playhouse and even more thrilled to involve YOU in this endeavor. This is what “community” is all about! Your contributions and donations will go towards the opening of the very first GiGi’s Playhouse in North Central, WI. YOU will be a part of this life changing community center, YOU will be a part of impacting the lives of so many. YOU will be a part of our dream of global acceptance!
