Today, I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at Women’s Wellness Day at The Sports Haus ❤️

I shared a talk on how acupuncture can help with common pickleball injuries and support recovery, resilience, and active living.

The best part — the event supported Circle of Care, an amazing non-profit helping families of children with cancer.

Such a fun and meaningful day ✨

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the spleen and heart have specific 2-hour peak times when their energy (Qi) is highest, affecting daily activity and energy levels. Spleen Time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Heart Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Key Details for Each Time Period:Spleen (9-11 a.m.): This is the best time for mental work, focus, and eating breakfast. The spleen is responsible for digestion and transforming food into energy; it is often called the best time to tackle demanding tasks, but it is recommended to avoid heavy sugar or carbs to prevent a mid-morning slump.Heart (11 a.m.-1 p.m.): Often called the “highest point” or peak of the day. This is considered an ideal time for a light lunch, socializing, and enjoying joy or laughter. It is also a good time for mindful work. Both organs are crucial for mental and physical health, with the Spleen affecting focus and the Heart managing joy and mental activity.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Stomach Time occurs between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. This two-hour window is considered the optimal time to eat a healthy breakfast, as the stomach meridian is most active, allowing for maximum digestion and energy creation.Key Details About Stomach Time (7 AM - 9 AM):Optimal Nutrition: It is the best time to nourish the body with a warm, nutrient-dense breakfast.Energy Flow: According to The Wellness Studio’s description of the TCM Organ Clock, the stomach’s energy is high, aiding in the breakdown of food and providing energy for the day.Spleen Connection: The stomach is closely paired with the spleen, which is most active immediately after (9 AM–11 AM) and works to turn food into Qi (energy) and blood.Signs of Imbalance: Difficulty digesting, lack of appetite in the morning, or acid reflux may suggest an imbalance in the stomach meridian, as discussed in Acupuncture in Lexington’s notes on TCM Earth organs.

Event Description
What if taking care of your health felt more natural—and less forced?

In this nourishing session, we’ll explore how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a powerful framework for longevity by aligning with your body’s natural rhythms—wisdom that beautifully mirrors what modern science now understands about circadian rhythms and whole-body regulation.

This conversation is led by Dr. Nina Jatuparisuthiseen, DAc, L.Ac., LMT, C.SMA, licensed acupuncturist and holistic practitioner, and proudly supported by Nina Acupuncture, a Women’s Networking Group Networking Partner. As a Networking Partner, Nina supports WNG’s mission of connection, growth, and whole-person wellbeing—bringing expertise that supports women both personally and professionally.

Rather than pushing harder or doing more, this session invites you to work with your body. Together, we’ll look at how honoring daily rhythms can support deeper rest, steadier energy, balanced hormones, and long-term wellbeing—especially in busy, high-performing lives.
