SUNDAY RESET: Surgery & Post-Op Recovery Checklist 📝✨
A smoother recovery starts with thoughtful preparation 🤍
Before Surgery: ✔️ Confirm surgery date, time & transportation
✔️ Fill prescriptions ahead of time
✔️ Eat low-sodium meals before surgery to help reduce swelling
✔️ Set up a clean, calm recovery space
✔️ Stock protein drinks & easy-to-digest foods
✔️ Plenty of fluids on hand
✔️ Loose clothing, compression garments & easy on/off pajamas
✔️ Antibacterial soap for pre-op cleansing
✔️ Arrange post-op support (nursing care is essential)
Must-Have Recovery Supplies: ✔️ Disposable chucks/pads to protect bedding
✔️ Incision care supplies
✔️ Antibacterial soap & hydrogen peroxide (as directed)
✔️ Extra pillows for elevation, comfort & proper positioning
✔️ Mints for nausea or dry mouth
✔️ Medication & pain schedule organized
Immediately After Surgery: ✔️ Continue a low-sodium diet post-op to help minimize swelling
✔️ Hydration plan (IV hydration can support faster healing)
✔️ No heavy lifting or overexertion
✔️ Someone monitoring you closely for the first 24–72 hours
