We are excited to help empower parents, celebrate kids, and combat stigma with The Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities group!

Growing up: “I grew up on the edge of the green belt around London. There were nice houses, plenty of space, lots of fields, and air raid shelters that hadn’t been torn down.”

Living in Westport: “Coming from an urban environment [London], I think Westport is absolutely magical. I also love the history here.”

During COVID: “My daughter moved up to be with me during COVID. We kayaked every afternoon, we baked, we got swept out by crazy tides, and got our feet stuck in the mud.”

On standing up for yourself: “I went to a boarding school from age 13 to 15. I was the only Jew out of 650 kids. I found myself in an environment where people were looking for horns and making oven jokes. My mother told me to just ignore it, but that’s the worst thing you can do. You have to stand up for yourself. People only behave in the way you allow them to.”

Success: “Nothing is easy, nothing comes easy. Success in any field is about tenacity, getting up after you’re knocked down.”

His career: “I’ve always loved the brain, always have loved psychology.”

A favorite moment: “One of my patients invited me to his high school graduation. He gave a speech and mentioned me, thanking me for who he is today.”
