Browlift? Upper blepharoplasty? Both?

Some eyelids are straightforward - take a little skin off and 🎯. Others, not at all! Young woman, a lot of volume loss, desiring a less hollow and long-lasting result. Results 5 months after blepharoplasty and fat grafting. Upper eyelids are so unique, as are each person’s wishes and goals.

Petty and insecure 🙄

CO2 laser is one of the most effective ways to improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I use it in the vast majority of lower blepharoplasty cases during surgery (assuming the patient is a candidate). In some cases, when the skin quality is poor, we repeat the laser at 6-8 weeks post-op for further improvement. Here, I’m doing it again on the lower and upper eyelids 6 weeks after a quad bleph.
This laser requires downtime. When performed with surgery, it falls on the same timeframe as the recovery. When done separately, it’s 5-7 days of downtime.
Aftercare is compresses and our recovery serum. Avoiding sun exposure 1 month before and 1 month after is very important to minimize the risk of pigmentation.

I know so many people get so nervous when they hear “browlift”. Why? Because doing it on the wrong candidate, lifting in the wrong vector, not understanding the relationship with the eyelids and bad taste all lead to that “surprised” and unnatural look. It doesn’t have to be the case!
