Doctor Gerst graduated from New York University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in August of 2011. After several years of treating orthopedic and sports related injuries, in 2015, she achieved the distinction of being certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She has over eight years of experience in outpatient clinics in Manhattan and just recently moved from Manhattan to Westport. Kristen has completed numerous continuing education courses in orthopedic assessment and intervention and has also obtained her certification in kinesiotaping.

In order for patients to achieve success and reach their full functional potential, Doctor Gerst believes in combining manual therapy with exercises tailored to each patient. When treating, she understands the importance of working one-on-one with patients, thoroughly explaining the recovery process and teaching how to prevent re-injury. Her passion is helping her patients achieve their goals and feel their best.

Outside of work, Doctor Gerst’s interests include exercising, pilates, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. She is excited to explore the town of Westport and discover all it has to offer with her husband, two children, and labradoodle.

Originally from Long Island, Cody has spent the past 20 years out west in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona, before returning to the Northeast to join Connecticut Family Physical Therapy team in Westport. Cody graduated from Midwestern University in Phoenix, AZ with a Doctorate distinction in Physical Therapy. He has been working in private practice while also serving as an adjunct faculty member for Midwestern’s physical therapy program. He is a member of the APTA’s Health Care Policy and Administration special interest group and is committed to furthering the development and recognition of physical therapy as a doctoring profession.

Cody’s family includes his partner Carly, a local veterinarian, and their two dogs, Finnegan and Lilly . Outside the clinic Cody spends most of his time with his family and participates in his hobbies such as skiing, hockey, hiking, paddle boarding, shooting, and horseback riding
