Responsibilities

- Counsel patients and their families on what to do following treatment.

- Observe the patients they are working with before, during and after therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.

- Assign specific exercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises.

- Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

- Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.

- Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.

Good morning Alliance FB Nation!

Once again, the Medicare Therapy Cap exceptions process expires this December 31st! The Cap bars people from getting the rehabilitation services they need to live life to its fullest. Without Congressional action, patients will be faced with a hard cap on outpatient therapy services in 2014. Along with a group of almost 50 associations, organizations, patient and consumer groups across the nation will tell Congress it's time to Stop the Therapy Cap!
Kindly join us and and write to your members of Congress to stop the therapy cap. You can find organizational action alerts on the Stop the Medicare Therapy Cap page. Don’t lose access to critical therapy services on January 1! Thanks for your participation!
