Getting notes like this is why I do what I do. 🄰 I truly love helping women regain their strength, heal their cores, and get back to doing what they love. šŸ™ŒšŸ»

This client played college basketball and has continued to play in adult leagues, as well as staying active in other ways. After her kids were born, she really started struggling with pelvic floor leaking while playing basketball, and she felt like no matter how much core work she did, she wasn’t seeing results.

She came in for her final session today, and not only has her separation healed, but she reported that she has had very little, if any, leaking when she has been playing basketball! This was a HUGE win for her, as the stress incontinence was really bothering her when she played.

But no exercise will be effective unless you know how to ACCESS those muscles. šŸŽ¤

It’s Marathon Monday here in Boston!

Running a marathon, or really any distance, was not something my body was capable of after having my 3rd baby.

My core was weak; though I worked out regularly and did a LOT of core work, the muscles physically were separated. My pelvic floor was weak, and I had leaking issues and urgency issues when I would run or do higher-impact work. I had an umbilical hernia that was fairly painful and would get aggravated whenever I tried to run.

Mentally, this took a real toll on me. I hated the way I felt and looked and I didn’t have the emotional release that I relied on from exercise.

Finally, I accepted the fact that this new reality wasn’t going change by giving my body more time, or by doing more core work, or doing a more gradual buildup of mileage. My body was injured, and I had to find a way of rehabbing it.

To me, this felt like taking two steps back in order to take a step forward, since I had to stop or modify a lot of what I was doing for workouts and sub in rehab work instead. I just kept telling myself that in the big picture, taking a few weeks or months off now would allow me to do what I loved for years to come, and that proved to be true!

3 marathons later with a 4th on the horizon, I am so glad that I took the time then to really heal and come back stronger than ever.

You don’t have to live with discomfort or pain or leaking or despair. I strongly recommend messaging me to set up a time to chat, so that you can get back to doing what you love!

Our Story

A diastasis recti is a separation of your outer most abdominal muscles. The job of these muscles (called re**us abdominis), is to support your back and your organs. Why should you care if your muscles are separated? Because separated muscles are weak muscles. Separated muscles cannot do their job of supporting your back and organs. To achieve a strong core, your muscles must be close together. Belly Rebuild utilizes the Tupler TechniqueĀ® program to heal the weakened connective tissue that joins your outermost abdominal muscles. As the connective tissue becomes stronger and shallower the muscles gradually come together, healing the diastasis recti.
