Yesterday was one of those experiences that shifts you — not just professionally, but personally.
Grateful to learn under Maria and deepen my understanding of fascia release and trauma-informed bodywork. The body truly keeps the story… and when we create safety, it also knows how to let it go.
Fascia is not just connective tissue — it’s a living, responsive network that holds tension, memory, emotion, and protection patterns.
When we gently release fascia, we’re not just increasing flexibility… we’re creating space for healing.
Benefits of Fascia Release:
• Improves mobility & range of motion
• Decreases chronic tension and pain
• Supports lymphatic flow
• Enhances posture & alignment
• Calms the nervous system
• Improves body awareness
• Restores elasticity & hydration to tissues
Trauma-Informed Release Work Can Help:
• Release stored stress patterns
• Improve emotional regulation
• Reduce fight-or-flight dominance
• Increase feelings of safety in the body
• Support deeper breath capacity
• Create space for emotional processing
Emotions aren’t “stored” like files in a cabinet — but our nervous system creates protective holding patterns in the fascia and musculature when experiences feel overwhelming or unsafe. Over time, those patterns become tight hips, guarded shoulders, jaw tension, shallow breath, digestive disruption.
The body protects first. Heals second — when it feels safe.
I’m excited to continue integrating fascia and somatic trauma release techniques into my sessions as my health journey evolves — and to bring this deeper level of care forward to my clients.
Healing is layered. We go gently. We go intentionally. We go together.
With gratitude 🤍
