Foundation for Fair Contracting of Connecticut

Foundation for Fair Contracting of Connecticut The Foundation for Fair Contracting of Connecticut (FFCCT) promotes compliance with the prevailing wage law on public construction projects.

We also focus on issues concerning the classification of workers and apprenticeship standards. The Foundation for Fair Contracting of Connecticut (FFCCT) is a third-party watchdog organization which monitors public construction projects that are subject to the Davis-Bacon Act or Connecticut's Prevailing Wage Law. We monitor these jobs in order to ensure that contractors working on government-funded projects are upholding the law. We help workers collect any back wages they are owed, and we help enforcement agencies to assess fines or penalties that a company may owe the state.

"New England has never been a hotbed for huge commercial installations the way the desert southwest and other parts of the country, with large sunny expanses, can be. But rooftop solar for homeowners and on municipal and commercial buildings still has huge potential in the region and can be extremely useful to grid reliability."

Connecticut, along with the rest of New England, has long recognized that its energy future lies in cleaning up the electricity sources in its power grid. The Trump administration has now made that a lot harder, if not impossible, to do, leaving Connecticut and the entire region with the question: N...

"The governor has also commended towns for making progress. But in his speech at the Department of Housing last week, he acknowledged that much of the affordable housing is concentrated in a just a handful of the state’s larger cities."

More than half of the affordable housing units Connecticut funded over the past six years were rehabilitated properties, as opposed to new construction, a report from the state’s Office of Legislative Research found. That has raised questions about Gov. Ned Lamont’s claims that under his leaders...
