Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of our beloved friend and colleague, Dan McCarthy.

Dan was so much more than a funeral director, he was the heart of the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel. From the moment he joined us in 2004, and throughout his tenure as location manager in 2016, Dan cared for every family with unmatched compassion, warmth and grace. Even after his retirement in 2021, he continued to contribute, driving the hearse, lending a hand, sharing a joke and always with that same generous spirit.

Dan had a gift for making people feel seen, comforted and cared for. Families trusted him, leaned on him, and remembered him long after services had ended. We did too.
We will miss his work ethic, yes but far more than that, we will miss his laughter echoing through the halls, his stories, his friendship, and his huge, beautiful heart.

Rest peacefully, Dan. Thank you for everything. You will always be part of us.
