We are so excited to be part of the launch pad for the newest patch, . Puberty education and young women's wellness geared to empower girls about how to care for themselves and their emotions during this newest phase of their lives.
For us at the Balsam Bosom Wellness & Restorative Center, this is more than just a patch. Its a chance to teach girls the obstacles they may face that can enhance their chances of developing breast cancer, and hopefully empower them to stay healthier.
🧐 Did you know, if a girl begins her period before 12, they have a higher chance of developing breast cancer, sometimes even before hitting perimenopause?
💪Bonus fact, the founder of the Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low, fought her own breast cancer battle.
Knowing how to stay healthier and what red flags warrant attention could be the tools they need to live their healthiest lives!!
Thank you Elmore County Family Resource Center, Inc. for being a part of this national rollout and bringing solution driven education to our communities.
