Good morning. Our office is pleased to announce we will be adding medical weight loss to our services. This service is available to any of our primary care patients. We will not provide this service to patients who are not established with our office.
The first visit will be billed to your medical insurance as a screening. If you meet requirements for obesity or metabolic syndrome we will continue to bill your insurance for the office visit. If you do not, then after the first visit any visit related to weight loss will be cash pay at $100 per visit.
We are willing to send in the prescription for injectable weight loss medication to your pharmacy and will complete a preauthorization for the medication. If your insurance decides to pay for the medication - congratulations!
If your insurance does not decide to pay for the medication, we are established with a compounding pharmacy and will be placing bi-weekly orders to the pharmacy for the medication in your name. The medication will arrive at our office and you will pick it up from there.
Visits for weight loss will be a minimum of every three months - more if indicated based on your health status.
Call our office and request a visit if you are interested! We will be happy to discuss in depth details at your visit. A weight loss visit will need to be booked separately from your other health needs.
