Imagine having no way of safely taking your child on a simple trip to the grocery store or a doctor's appointment, much less fun activities like the zoo, family vacations, or amusement parks. This is the reality for many families that Variety serves until they receive a My Stroller. For many families this stroller provides so much more than a means of transportation. It means inclusion, participation, and that no body gets left behind. Variety has had the honor of providing over 1,400 strollers, creating more opportunities for first family vacations, first trips to eat in McDonalds, and so much more.

Variety's My Bike Program provides children ages 3-21 with a customized adaptive bike. This program ensures that every child regardless of abilitiy can live their lives to the fullest, by participating in a classic childhood past time. Since its inception in 2012 Variety has provided over 3,200 bikes across 59 counties in Pennsylvania. Learn more about this program on our website! Love what Variety does? Our you passionate about our mission? Are you unsure about how you can support Variety and the work we do? Then, this post is for you! THIS EQUIPMENT IS LIFE-CHANGING... "Receiving an adaptive bike will mean the world to Ronnie and our family. Ronnie is a resilient young boy that's endured multiple major surgeries. Ronnie faces development delays that impact his strength and mobility, but his spirit remains unshaken. An Adaptive bike will do more than provide joy - it will serve as a powerful therapeutic tool to help him build leg strength, improve coordination, and gain a sense of independence that many take for granted. It's not just a bike - it's a symbol of possibility, growth, and inclusion for a child who has overcome so much already. Ronnie will use his adaptive bike during outdoor play and family walks. The bike will also give Ronnie a fun and inclusive way to stay active and enjoy time with peers and family!"

IT'S INCLUSION FOR ABBY, as her mom, Tami generously shared, "Abby often feels left out because she can't ride a traditional bike. Abby would love to be included in the neighborhood and with our family, while engaging in outside activities. Abby has never rode a bike due to her disabilities, and I worry that if she were to fall, a minor injury could be serious for her. Abby will love to get outside more for exercise and riding a bike will be very motivating. Abby is a great kid with a heart of gold but often feels frustrated by barriers of her disability and accessing resources to enjoy being included."

"An adaptive stroller will help tremendously to do things as simple as go for a walk, as our daughter has a tendency to elope in public. She also has no awareness about her own safety, so the stroll will help in preventing any safety concern, especially when traveling. Moreover , Aayra has a tendency to run away in unfamiliar environments, so the stroller ensures that she is always in close proximinty to an adult. Due to sensory input, our daughter will often lay down on the road and floor when out, but the stroller will help to prevent it."
