I’m currently accepting new clients in my psychotherapy private practice, Souri Counseling Solutions!! My main specialities are grief and loss ( including pet loss), depression, and self esteem issues. I also have a special place in my heart for working with motherless daughters (women whose moms have died). My mom died unexpectedly 30 years ago, a few days after my wedding in 1994. She had just turned 50 years old, and
I was 28 at that time. You can read more about my story on my website.

I take UPMC and Highmark/BC BS plans and do all virtual sessions.

Today marks EXACTLY 24 years since my mom's passing. She died on August 6, 1994. Last night, I found out the interview I had taped for a TV show called Empowering Women would start airing this week. In the interview, I talk about how my mom inspired me to pursue my passions. I think the timing of this was incredible, as it feels like the absolutely perfect way to honor my mom for the gifts she gave me through her life and death. Thank you, Denise Ann Galloni! Your timing is impeccable!!

My next Motherless Daughters psychotherapeutic support group will be starting on Tuesday., Oct. 17th. It will be on four consecutive Tuesday evenings at my office in Wexford from 6-7:30 p.m.

The group is for adult women whose mothers have died. We will cover many aspects of mother loss, including grief and loss, self identity and confidence, how other family members are reacting to the loss (which may drastically change family dynamics) and related issues. The cost is $40 per week, which is often covered by insurance. I am a provider for both UPMC and Highmark insurance plans.

I am going to start my next eight-week Motherless Daughters group soon. It will be on Wed. evenings at my office in Wexford from 7-830 p.m. Once I have the participants confirmed, I will announce the exact start date.
