What’s the difference between soreness and injury? 🤔

It’s totally normal to feel a little sore after a massage...especially if we worked on tight, stuck areas.

That kind of soreness usually feels like:
🔸 Mild achiness in the muscles
🔸 Tenderness when touched
🔸 Lasts a day or two, then fades
🔸 Feels better with movement, stretching, or heat

That’s your body adjusting to increased circulation and muscle release. ✅

But if you feel:
⚠️ Sharp, stabbing pain
⚠️ Numbness or tingling
⚠️ Pain that gets worse over time
⚠️ Limited movement that doesn’t improve

…those may be signs of an injury that needs medical attention.

✨ My goal is always to help you feel better, not beat you up.

If you're ever unsure, just ask. Open communication helps us get the best results safely and effectively!

💥 That nagging ache in your low back?
👀 it might be your QL (Quadratus Lumborum) throwing a fit.

This deep core stabilizer gets cranky from:
🪑 Too much sitting
💼 Carrying bags on one side
🛏️ Sleeping like a pretzel
🏋️ Overdoing it at the gym (or underdoing it, let’s be real)

The good news?
Massage can help calm it down, release the tension, and get you moving pain-free again. 🙌

🎯 If you're feeling tight in your lower back or hips, let’s check in with that QL - it might be trying to tell you something.

I’m not here to chase symptoms. I’m here to help you heal.

Sure, I can help you feel better today, but what I really care about is how you feel next week, next month, and long-term.

I want your massage to be more than just a quick fix.
🌀 I want it to be part of your plan to move better, feel stronger, and recover faster.
🧠 That’s why I’ll always take the time to explain what I’m doing, and why.
👣 And it’s why I may recommend stretches, movement, hydration, or even changes to your routine.

Temporary relief is great... but lasting progress? That’s the real goal. 💪

Your body isn’t a project to “fix.”
It’s a system to support! And I’m here for the long haul.

Want to get the most out of your massage?
Here’s how to make the results last longer (and your body happier):

✨ Hydrate before & after. Muscles love water. So does your fascia.
✨ Don’t rush back into stress mode. Give yourself time to soak in the calm.
✨ Take note of how you feel. That body awareness is gold.
✨ Move gently afterward. A light walk or stretch can help your body integrate the work.
✨ Rebook before you're in pain again. Maintenance = less tension buildup.

Massage isn’t just a moment of relief, it’s part of your long-term recovery and wellness plan. The more consistently you receive it, the better your body responds. 💆‍♀️💪

Treat your next session like a tune-up, not an emergency.
Your future self will thank you.

Can’t sleep? You’re not alone.

If your brain flips on like a light switch the second your head hits the pillow… 👀
Massage can help you switch it off.

Massage activates your parasympathetic nervous system (that’s your rest and digest mode) helping you shift out of “go-go-go” and into deep chill. 🧘‍♀️

By reducing cortisol (stress hormone) and boosting serotonin, massage helps your body naturally wind down, so your sleep isn't just longer... it's deeper.

💆‍♀️ Translation: Fewer racing thoughts. More REM cycles.

🪄 TL;DR:
Massage isn’t just for muscles! iI tells your whole nervous system that it’s safe to rest.

Ready to sleep like your nervous system knows what it’s doing?
Let’s make that happen.

Peace of Mind & Body

Recovering from a car accident is never fun. And when you don’t do anything about it other than treat it with aspirin, you slowly lose your flexibility and strength and joy of life. Discovering Massage and other holistic bodywork therapies helped get my life back. I was so impressed that I decided to go back to school and study Reflexology, Massage Therapy, Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy. I have never regretted my change in career. 16+ years in this profession and still loving it! Helping my clients overcome their pain, stress, balance and flexibility issues is something I take very seriously. And I use all my best techniques to give my clients peace in both mind and body.
