Thanks to the creativity and generosity of the colleagues at our Home Care Division office in Rockland, this year's South Shore VNA holiday basket raffle raised nearly $2,500!

Funds raised by the raffle are used to purchase gift cards to support VNA patients in need during the holiday season.

Our annual Holiday Gift Basket Raffle is now open, with all funds raised supporting the Generous Hearts Employee Assistance Fund.

We have more than two dozen baskets up for grabs this year, containing prizes like gift cards, toys, games, and more.

All baskets were donated and assembled by colleagues from across South Shore Health.

As we near the end of 2025, we’d like to send a special “thank you” to The Friends of South Shore Health!

Over the past year, The Friends raised more than $280,000 for South Shore Health through events like Kickin’ Up Country and other fundraising programs.

The Friends presented a donation check for the year at their recent annual meeting, and these funds have already had a positive impact on our patients and colleagues.

Remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) uses technology to allow VNA caregivers to track patient progress, personalize rehabilitation plans, and proactively respond to clinical changes, all while patients remain in the comfort of their homes.

Brigham and Women's Neurosurgery at South Shore Health offers convenient access to expert neurosurgical care, right in South Weymouth.

"The benefit of this partnership is that patients can get the advanced care at South Shore Health that they would be offered in Boston," explained neurosurgeon Jason Rahal, MD.

Did you know that South Shore VNA has its own sim lab?

Funded by The Friends of South Shore Health, the VNA sim lab offers guided, hands-on training to help VNA clinicians brush up on existing skills or learn new ones.

The sim lab is designed to meet the needs of both experienced home care clinicians and new hires, giving them the confidence to provide the best possible treatment for their patients when they're out in the field.

"We’ve had such positive feedback from the clinicians who have been participating in the sim lab,” said Rebecca Lewis, DPT, Clinical Specialist/Educator. “At the end of the day, I feel like we’re really doing something very important to keep our clinicians on the cutting edge of providing quality care to our community."
