Ronald Kay Bess was born on May 04, 1950, to the late Isaac Bess, Sr. and Ida Mae Bess in Galveston, Texas. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Pastor Stephens of St. Stephens Baptist Church, Wharton, Texas. He was ordained as a Deacon at Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Lewis.
