WCJC's Director of Counseling and Disability Services Amber Barbee displays some of the relaxation tools found in the college's "Zen Den." Current WCJC students, faculty and staff are invited to stop by for a few moments of peace and quiet. The room is located on the third floor of the Pioneer Student Center on the Wharton campus. Hours of operation this summer are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays to coincide with the summer schedule. When the schedule goes back to normal, hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fall registration has begun for the WCJC EMS program. Our program will be offering EMT classes at our Richmond, Wharton and Bay City campuses as well as one at the El Campo Northside center. We still have openings in all of these EMT classes. We are offering Advanced EMT (AEMT) and Paramedic courses at our Richmond and Wharton campuses. This will be the first semester we are offering the Paramedic courses at our Richmond campus. There is financial aid is still available for ALL EMS Courses. Our new Immersive room at the Wharton campus. We are able to project onto 3 walls and the floor various environments with sounds and smells. We have one of these rooms at our Richmond Campus.
