This month at Alpine PT, we're highlighting the Glute Bridge - a simple but powerful move that targets your glutes, hamstrings, and core. It's perfect for improving posture, reducing lower back pain, and building a solid foundation for more advanced movements.

How to do it:
1️⃣ Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart
2️⃣ Engage your core and squeeze your glutes as you lift your hips off the ground
3️⃣ Pause at the top, then lower slowly and repeat
4️⃣ Try 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps

✅ Great for beginners
✅ No equipment needed
✅ Helps improve stability and reduce pain

Your core is the foundation of nearly every movement your body makes, from walking and bending to lifting and even standing still.

A weak core can lead to:
❌ Poor posture
❌ Back or hip pain
❌ Higher risk of injury

Here are a few tips from our PT team to safely strengthen your core:
🟦 Start with low-impact movements like dead bugs or planks
🟦 Breathe through each rep - don’t hold your breath
🟦 Focus on control, not speed
🟦 Add variety (side planks, stability ball exercises, etc.)

Want personalized core work that supports your goals and prevents injury? We can help!
