🐶 Why Do Dogs Nap After a Chiropractic Adjustment?

If your pup wants to curl up for a snooze after their chiropractic visit, let them! That post-adjustment nap isn’t just adorable… it’s healing.

Here’s why rest is so important after an adjustment:

✨ The nervous system resets; just like us, dogs need time to integrate the changes from their adjustment. Rest helps their body process and adapt.

🧠Healing happens in rest; chiropractic care improves communication between the brain and body. Napping gives their system the downtime it needs to repair and rebalance.

🔋 Energy shifts; some dogs feel relaxed and mellow after their session. A nap is their natural way of recharging after those subtle but powerful shifts.

So if your dog wants to snooze after care, go ahead and fluff up their favorite bed! 🐾
Their body is doing exactly what it needs to feel and function better.

Have questions about what to expect after your pet’s visit? I’m happy to help!

Fireworks & Furry Friends: Tips to Help Ease Firework Anxiety 🎆🐾

Fireworks might be fun for us, but they can be terrifying for our dogs. Here are a few simple ways to help ease their stress:

🛑 Create a safe space. Set up a quiet, cozy area where your pup can hide and feel secure.

🔊 Turn on calming sounds. White noise, soft music, or the TV can help drown out booms.

💆‍♀️ Use calming tools. Try a Thundershirt, pheromone sprays, or natural calming chews (ask your vet!).

🐕 Keep them close. Stay calm and comfort them. Your presence is powerful.

👐 Try bodywork. Gentle massage or an Animal Chiropractic session may help reduce tension and improve resilience.

Your dog doesn’t have to suffer in silence. A little preparation goes a long way!

Excited to share that I've been featured in a local online magazine. Such an honor. Take a look!

Today is International Joke Day!

Enjoy!

My dog loves getting adjusted…he says it’s the ulti-mutt way to feel pawsome! 🐾💆‍♂️

Why don’t dogs make good dancers? Because they’ve got two left paws! 🐾🕺

Optimizing health, elevating life

Dr. Jennifer Andrade is a Colorado native. From a young age she was always interested in helping people and was fascinated by the human body. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. During the last year of her undergraduate studies she was involved in a car accident with a friend. Following the accident, that friend sustained a concussion and suffered daily, debilitating headaches that nearly forced him to drop out of school. He sought treatment from acupuncturists, medical doctors, neurologists, physical therapists, and massage therapists and found no relief. Then he sought treatment with a Chiropractor and his headaches quickly disappeared and he was able to get his life back. After witnessing the amazing benefits of Chiropractic, she was convinced and decided to pursue a career as a Chiropractor.

Dr. Andrade graduated Magna Cum Laude from Parker University in Dallas, TX in August 2014. Her philosophy on health is “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Benjamin Franklin. She strives to educate her patients to take control of their health, so that they can continue doing what they love and to be a partner in their journey towards better health and wellness.
