Please join us in welcoming Amelia, our newest intern!
Amelia believes in finding ways to help cultivate a sense of belonging in one's body - honoring that each person's relationship with their body is unique and ever-changing. What draws them to massage therapy is the opportunity to deeply attune to each client and collaborate together to ensure that they feel supported and cared for on any given day.
Amelia’s approach is intuitive and responsive. They work primarily with deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point, and Swedish techniques, and bring their somatic and yoga background into sessions by inviting breath, body awareness, and verbal check-ins. Sessions with Amelia can be conversational or quiet, deeper or lighter—it all depends on what feels right for each person. They create space for clients to advocate for themselves, notice what’s arising in their bodies, and feel truly held, whether that means working through tension or simply allowing emotions to surface.
This trauma-informed, collaborative style is rooted in Amelia’s years of working with folks with disabilities through mindfulness, yoga, and dance. Their background includes a BFA in contemporary dance, a minor in psychology, and certification as an Accessible Yoga instructor. For Amelia, creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where every body belongs isn’t just philosophy—it’s practice.
