We were treated to a science demonstration by students from Cal-Wheat Schools. The showed how to make a crystal rock and glow in the dark slime by mixing up stuff most of us would never dream of!

Hello, it’s Kimberly the Activity Director! I am one week into recovery from my total knee replacement surgery. I’m told by my Physical Therapists that I’m doing great, and am on track! I’m not going to lie, I feel pretty rough but I know this is one of those “no pain, no gain” times and it will all be worth it. Thanks to my team mate Danielle and the rest of the staff for making sure activities happen while I’m gone. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

Of course we listened to his music for Elvis’ birthday but we also made Elvis cookies!
What’s in an Elvis cookie?
Chocolate chips, banana cream pudding mix, peanut butter aaaaaaaand (drumroll) BACON!
Non of us had ever had a cookie with bacon in it but most agreed it was quite good. Ruth even asked for a second cookie and she never asks for seconds!
