Comment Policy:

This page was created as an informational resource for updates on important public health issues. Platte County Public Health has instituted the following comment policy:

To maintain respectful interactions on this page, we encourage all comments:

-stay focused. Viewpoints are welcome but comments need to be relevant to information being shared.
-be respectful. Share information in a respectful way and discuss with others in a respectful way. Rude comments, name calling, or any other comment meant to cause division is prohibited and will be deleted.
-tell the truth. Spreading false or misleading information is prohibited and will be deleted.
-no spam. Repeated posting of identical or similar content in a counter-productive manner is prohibited. Comments expectations:

Although we hope you choose to contribute information that is relevant to public health and our mission to promote, protect, and prevent, we understand not everyone will agree with what PCPH shares. This does not mean bullying behavior will be tolerated. Many people have differing viewpoints, and we respect others input, but our goal is to share only evidence based information and updates. Any comments on the PCPH page seen as offensive and divisive will be removed. PCPH does not feel FB is a great place for a long and detailed debate with those who have the mindset to only be confrontational. Many times we choose to delete comments or just ignore them. As you all know, texting and social media do not reliably relay tone of voice or intent. So there may be times where your questions won’t be answered on here. Serious questions and concerns can be better addressed by a phone call to our office.
