Trauma-informed care changes the way therapy looks and feels. 💛

It’s about creating a safe, empowering space where your story is honored, not judged.
Instead of focusing on what’s “wrong,” it recognizes the impact of what’s happened to you.
Healing isn’t about rushing or fixing—it’s about connection, trust, and respect for your pace.

You can’t pour from an empty cup—and kids pick up on your cues. 💞

Co-regulation means your child’s nervous system looks to you for safety and calm.

It doesn’t mean you have to be perfect—just present. Your calm presence helps them learn how to soothe themselves over time.
Taking care of your own nervous system is part of being the parent your child needs.

Parenting can feel chaotic—especially during transitions like back-to-school. But your calm presence is one of the most powerful tools you have.

Taking a moment to breathe and regulate your nervous system before responding helps your child feel safe and seen. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about showing up with intention and kindness, to yourself and your little one.

Remember: Resting, grounding, and modeling self-compassion aren’t indulgences—they’re essential parts of connection and healing.

Start small. Start here. 💛

Complex PTSD (CPTSD) isn’t about one event—it’s about living in survival mode for too long.

Whether it came from unsafe caregivers, chronic neglect, or repeated relational trauma, CPTSD shapes how you feel about yourself and the world around you.

You might feel like you’re “too sensitive,” “too much,” or like no one understands why things affect you so deeply.

You’re not too much. You’re carrying too much.
And there is support for that.

Not all trauma is the same—so not all healing journeys will look the same either.

While PTSD often develops after a single traumatic event, Complex PTSD (CPTSD) is the result of repeated or prolonged trauma—especially in childhood or within relationships that were meant to feel safe.

If you’ve ever felt like your reactions don’t “fit” what others expect from trauma, you’re not alone.

Your experiences make sense. And they deserve to be seen and understood.

If you’ve ever felt foggy, numb, disconnected, or like you’re going through the motions—there’s a name for that.

It’s called dissociation, and it’s more common than you might realize.

Whether it shows up as zoning out in a meeting or feeling totally disconnected from your body, dissociation is your nervous system’s way of saying, “This is too much.”

Dissociation means you’re adapting.
And with support, it is possible to gently come back to yourself—at your own pace.
